Here’s a statement from @hecgrandisland regarding an early morning incident. Thank you @GIPoliceDept and HEC for the quick action plan.
Early this morning, a vehicle crashed into the HEC. Below is a statement from Executive Director Kyler Tarwater: “Police have been notified and are handling the investigation. Through initial damage assessment, we are not expecting future events to be impacted by this incident.”

We are thrilled to announce the Grand Island crime rate reduced by 14.37% in 2024! In our goal to reduce crime by an additional 20% in 2025, we will provide these stats monthly, and we want you as a community to hold us accountable. We're thankful for your support!

**Downtown Parking Ban** We will be clearing and hauling snow in the Downtown area between 4 a.m. – 12 p.m. Monday, January 6. Parking on certain downtown streets will be prohibited during this time. The full list of streets impacted is here:
