Area Arts Council completed its colorful street mural project Sunday. Lead artists included Joseph Pearson (Black), Jenny Pickens (Lives), and Marie T. Cochran (Matter).
The process of shrouding of the Vance Monument began today. A contractor has been hired to install scaffolding that will serve as the form over which the shroud will be placed. The shroud should be in place by Friday.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, the City of

has provided shelter at a local motel to 132 people. Of those served, 25 have found permanent housing through partner agencies, such as Homeward Bound. And this work continues.
