Every time I come in to the market excited to take setups and ready to go in heavy, I almost always overtrade and end up butchering every setup; but when I come in thinking maybe I won't even trade, I end up taking the absolute best opps and trade exceptionally well... go figure

The main goal for a successful trader is following the plan, once strategy and sizing is systematized. Diverging leads to random results, and defeats the purpose of having the plan. Its a huge challenge to amygdala to skip a trade or wait for it to develop, and to size correctly

I always keep in the back of my mind two ideas while trading:
1. Nothing has to happen (just follow price)
2. Anything could happen (don't get stubborn)

The longer I trade, the more I realize that I make $ in just a few trades a day, & everything else is noise. Can still make $ taking noisy trades but at cost of unnecessary stress & opp to improve the main setups by journaling or improving scanners. Prep, hit them HARD, journal

Tough market. I am personally adjusting to more wicky action aka a more stopouts by scaling w/ smaller size & wider stops aka higher win rate and MUCH smaller rr, dropping from 3-5 to 1-2. It might be beneficial in the long run due to scalability and less stress overall.

Okay year but a bit of underperformance. Felt like I was not focused. Deviation from bread & butter setups and fomo entries created a ton of dips in the pnl. Focused quite a lot on gym, child birth, investments, managing real estate properties which were all good things.

I see some of my traders getting chopped up in consolidations bc they see something on tape. Executions look like the hotkeys broke. In my exp tape is useless unless you chart tells you to enter, only then you can time it with tape. Ex: para short/sell or huge washout cover/long

I may have lost the battle today, but cutting a dumb trade at max daily loss saved me from blowing up. Take a break, size down, review the rules, come back humble with smaller size, and scale back up only when trading in the zone for a few sessions. This happens once in a while.
Hit max loss shorting $SPI trading like a noob today. Got loosey goosey on my trading rules this week.

1. Passion - love of the game, not $
2. Tools - BP, scanners, ...
