Growth in UK cinema admissions in 2024 all the more remarkable in that the sector went into the final two months of the year 7 per cent down on 2023. November and December 2024 were over 50 per cent up in terms of admissions compared to the previous year.

Latest figures from #CinemaAdvertisingAssociation confirm that UK cinema admissions in 2024 hit 126.5 million admissions, 2.3 per cent up on 2023 and putting the UK at the top of the league table for growth against the US and other European territories.

Figures for UK box office for 2024 from @CsMoviesUK confirm a remarkable recovery as the impact of strikes in the US in Autumn 2023 eased. Box office went from minus 10 per cent at end Q3 compared to 2023 to flat by year-end, with total revenues of Ā£978,176,569.
