It did. It finally brought encrypted texting between android and iOS.
Look into the backend of beeper and it was quite ingenious and they focused heavily on security.

I'll add, that Quinn has been the best boss I've ever had in my life. And no, he hasn't asked me to say anything, and I've expressed this many times privately to him.
After having a few employers that literally drove me to consider suicide, it's a really nice breath of fresh air

Honestly that kind of attitude makes me want to just drop all my Apple devices.
My mom did get an iPhone and she wasn’t able to learn it, she was too used to android. So now I’m stuck not being able to send memes to my mom, because no way in hell is she gonna install signal.

I mean I turn off notifications for everything but messaging, the top bar gives me a clear view of whats waiting for me, the interactions are better on a per notification basis etc.

Personally I don’t think it’s ethical in todays day to be a landlord. It’s just a leftover concept from feudalism.
It’s taking away opportunities of the common folk to own their own property. And we will soon enter a 2nd age of feudalism if things don’t change.

I'm sorry, but iMessage is absolutely encrypted texting. Ask anyone on the street and they couldn't tell you the difference between iMessage and sms
Sure it was a hack, but it was E2E encrypted, and since 99% of my contacts use iMessage as primary communication, it felt prudent

Magsafe DOES NOT take an additional USB port. The HDMI and SD card read take up that space and bandwidth to the SOC.

Scaling. 27" 4k is 160ish PPI. Which is like 1.5x scaling.
42" 4k is 110ppi which is 1x, and 21.5" is 2x.
A 42" 4k monitor is like having 4x 24" 1080p monitors. It's the best.

It's a long time premiere bug that's finally fixed. You have to go into the color tab and make sure your gamma is set to 2.2, which is what QuickTime and youtube expect. Otherwise the viewer defaults to like 1.8 gamma or something.

It should have been better. Apple usually doesn't sit around and wait, and they're seriously lagging behind the competition in the display market.

Most of apples stuff is well designed, and thought out. Their battery accessories always seem like they took the dunce engineers and gave them a project to help them stay busy on non-important things.

But it's true, not once has it ever crashed. After Effects on the other hand.... 👀

Cost vs. benefit. Same reason why almost all displays are 16:9. Content is made for 4k, not 5k. Apple is special in that they don't care, so they spend the extra money and time making what they want.

Eyesight is creepy, and bad.
But straight on it's OK.
Seems like it uses a real time camera feed from inside the lenses. I can see that Quinn has blue eyes.

because 4k at 27" is terrible...
4k only works at 21.5" OR 42". Nothing in-between.
I use a 42" LG C2 OLED as my main monitor, and it's the best monitor I've ever used period.

Good morning! Beautiful news on the sensor front.
Sony just released the IMX366AJK. It's a 44 megapixel sensor... that has some insane ADC specs.
It can do:
8k 24p - 14 bit
8k 30p - 14 bit
8k 60p - 12 bit
5.6k 60p - 14 bit
4k 30p - 14 bit
4k 120p - 12 bit
This is HUGE.
