Woke up to 7 new Great Pyrenees puppies this morning. Three black and white ones with the very rare Eumelanin MCR 1 gene. Puppies are a great way to start the day.
I have 2 heroes in my life. Both women. This fine Lady is one. Pushing 70 and recovering from a hernia operation. She lives alone with her daughter in the remote woods. Just cut her hair to make wigs for cancer patients. She's bullet proof. Here's to you!
My old dog Lobo went blind a couple of weeks ago and the poor guy kept falling down the old steps we had so I poured these new ones for him. A little more work and some final touches and they'll be ready for my big buddy.

Three hours to get to the nearest polling center and I don't mind at all. November 8 is a great excuse to get to town for the first time in 2 1/2 months and do your civic duty.

Animals are amazing! Four months ago this ewe had her face eaten by a coyote where most everything she ate and drank fell out of her face. Waited a week to cull her but, it started to heal. Now it looks 100% better and she's almost back to normal.
Have Mercy!
Made an emergency run to town for supplies yesterday before our first big snowstorm of the season and eased up on these Pronghorns along the way.

Walmart customer service didn’t find it very amusing when I called them from inside the store and asked if any of the cash registers were for sale since they never use them.

It's probably just me, but since that sheep herder got killed by a bear two weeks ago I've been hearing about a lot more bear encounters. So, I'm bringin' 'em in for a few days.
Stopped by the old sheep processing station yesterday.
Hard to believe that up until the 1960s the railroad tracks ran up to it and thousands of sheep were loaded every year here.
Getting all sentimental about my dog Lobo today. This was him about two years ago before he lost his eye sight. Sight or no sight he still takes pride guarding sheep.

Mom with her offspring in the background yesterday watching sheep yesterday. A good Great Pyrenees will only take a break once they're confident their area is secure.
The dogs tell you everything.
They forecast the weather, tell if there's a threat, know where the sheep are, and read people, if one should show up, for kindness.

My apologies if it appears as if I have unfollowed you.
I haven't.
Just got sent to the Twitter Principal's office for a time out.
Currently at the Tattoo shop getting a tear drop under my left eye.

Finished placing the last stone a couple of months ago. Put up the siding last week and built the shutters yesterday. Now on to the flower boxes. Not sure about the "Boathouse Blue". Looks more like "Bailing Twine Blue" to me. The Boss likes it. That's good enough for me.
A good livestock guardian dog has the propensity to seek the best vantage point to protect his charges. In this case, on top of 6 bales of hay in the pickup to be unloaded.

The last video of the puppies before they go to their new homes starting tomorrow. The distance award from the last litter went to Wyoming. This one goes to Wisconsin. I miss them already!

Dear Governors,
When you start paying my bills instead of me paying yours you can tell me how many people I can have in my home for the holidays.
Until then, screw you
