I anticipate an eventual return to employment being a challenge, but in the meantime making the most of @cityofsydney’s astounding facilities. Everything works efficiently here - traffic, public transport, parks, public amenities. No wonder people are happy all of the time.

I wrote to Ricky Hatton in June 2007 shortly after he had beaten José Luis Castillo in Las Vegas - the fight that cleared the way for his huge bout with Floyd Mayweather jnr. A good friend of mine from Belfast had been due to travel with his older brother to watch the Castillo

It’s been quite the adjustment but after a week in Sydney my main takeaway would be this - the kindness, sincerity and generosity of Irish people is unparalleled. From the young girl in the coffee shop, to the messages and mails checking in to offer support. Truly bowled over.

Sometimes you don’t have to tweet, offer your opinion or provide any discourse. Sometimes it’s ok to just not say anything at all.

Not the easiest thing I’ve done but still far from the hardest, and I’m hoping that’s a good sign for whatever awaits. Ireland, see you again soon. x

I’ve never been more grateful to be leaving Ireland as I am to be tonight, so as to avoid this and the rest of #Aras25 unfolding. I don’t envy those of you that will have a vote on October 24th.
Citizens of Ireland, the time for real change is now! As President, I will not sign any bill in law until it goes back to the people first! If you want to see my name on the ballot for the Presidency, I urge you to contact your local county councillors today and ask them to

An lads, I don’t know. OTC weight loss medication just does not feel right. Are we back in 2000?

Burning Man: a bunch of self-proclaimed environmentalists ironically engaging in nothing but overconsumption, disguising it as a socialist utopia that can ironically only exist when created by capitalism. Hell. on. Earth.

My parents did a lot of travelling in the years after losing a child. Mam kept this bracelet for me and bought an antique charm in several of the places they went. She gave it to me when I turned 18. A lovely sign to come across mid-packing for a move to Sydney.

You might remember I mentioned to you on here back in 2023 @martinbeanz that we were very fortunate to have a fine traveller boy on our team - he came through the internship programme with the dream to train and pass out as a Garda. Today, Seán did it. #ItsAJobWorthDoing

What a thoroughly decent and honourable thing to do - massive respect to builder Mark O’Neill, and all the subcontractors and suppliers that helped the Curran family get back into their home in Ballyfermot. https://t.co/7hAu4o55fU

@PicturesFoIder I’m glad she’s helping but why is she recording? I understand recording because she didn’t feel safe in an unfamiliar situation maybe. But why post a distressed teenager on the internet. We as a society have to get serious about pulling out our phones surveilling each other at

Tea (milk poured first, always), a victoria sponge and Cliff Richard on repeat - Nana Ahern reached 95 this week. It’s funny what changes or is forgotten with dementia and yet what isn’t.

I think the fact-based content this guy produces is one of the few reasons to stay on X. And, no, I don't know him from Adam and that's not the point anyway.
Fox News aired a segment on crime in Ireland, specifically Dublin, on 'The Will Cain Show'. The most brazen manipulation of statistics you're ever likely to see, lapped up by Trump-voters who don't care if something is true or not. I'll counter this garbage with facts. /1
