@wanyeburkett People of Clayton should definitely join the city. They should then get to run the combined entity.

@leankitjon @Noahpinion Well, then you are just bullshitting. Because that's where the money is. In any case, you'll get the same reaction at the Pentagon.

@leankitjon @Noahpinion So go tell grandma you're cutting her Social Security and Medicare. See how far that gets you.

@TnTallGuy @elonmusk The woman fired did nothing criminal. Tired of the lies from @elonmusk. Lots, not nearly all, of USAID spending was useful to the USA national interests. The Sesame Street stuff seemed OK from what I saw.

@chicagobars No consumer wins from tariffs.
I've long been waiting for people obsessed with trade deficits & exchange rates to explicitly argue: "American consumers are living too well, stuff is too cheap, and we plan to fix by making it harder for them to buy stuff--which will be more sustainable in the long run."

@ben_golub The whole thing. Back when presidents could communicate at least somewhat coherently.

@JeffO773 I doubt that is the reason. And someone forgot to tell the Bowdoin students, who are now all at least suspended.
🚨BREAKING: Despite being suspended this morning, the Bowdoin Encampment students refuse to the building they are occupying. "They want us out by 5 PM. Trespass with us."

Per @USAToday Elon Musk, the tech billionaire's aerospace company has benefited from nearly $19.8 billion in federal contracts since 2008. A majority of that money − $14.4 billion − went to NASA and $5.32 billion went to the Defense Department to pay for SpaceX rocket launches and satellites. Fiscal year 2024 was the largest on record for SpaceX, aided by at least $3.8 billion in U.S. government contracts. SpaceX is also a U.S. contractor for use in Germany, Great Britain, Italy and Turkmenistan.
