@Lizstuartdc OMG I am so jealous. I owned Xcountry skis until I was 10. Love my mom's story of having to ski to get us food when we were snowed in (northern MI). Not many opportunities in Chapel Hill for skis of any kind. :(

This paper was rejected 5+ times. After yet another major rewrite/reframe and some bad language, it was just accepted on first submission with no comments. Academia is a weird combination of deeply frustrating&satisfying. #epitwitter

22 years ago I was rejected from @UNC’s epidemiology MSPH/PhD program. Well, today I was promoted to full professor of epidemiology at UNC! When a door slams shut, sometimes a window opens, even if only after throwing a very large rock. #UNC_cvepi #epitwitter

Went back to rural MI to help prepare our family home for selling. You know it’s gonna be bad when my mom asks what to do with high school typewriter. Also, narrowly escaped a doily collection. 2nd garage 1/2 done (below). Hoarding skipped a generation.
