@JessH171717 @PorcGuy @MarioNawfal While that may be true, outside of retroactively making such payments a 'loan', I don't see us getting anything back. I think a great idea would be to strongarm Ukraine into giving the minerals to the US at a sweetheart deal rate to make up for the $170 - 200B

@DLHartley76 @MarioNawfal Payment plan: $10B a year for 20 years in minerals. Still, my original comment is that private entities should be allowed to invest in Ukraine (foolishly) if they so desire. Just because Ukraine owes the US a crap ton of money shouldn't restrict 100% of Ukraine's function
