@Tyler7Smith Flanagan as a pure defender is actually good. But every time he's on the ball it makes me nervous. I don't think he had a stinker today but you're right, that pass was costly.

@GabSutton @EFL Really good today! Walsall weren't comfortable at any point during the game as we played with great intensity throughout. Thought it might be a familiar story when we went behind but we responded so well, and then emotions got the better of Walsall. In the top half now!

@Tyler7Smith 6.5 I guess. Managed to get rid of more deadwood, which helps for the future. I'm not convinced on how many of these newbies are going to contribute anything significant between now and the end of the season. Good to have depth in certain areas but no new midfielder is a concern

@DBattson I imagine most of our loanees are looking at the situation right now and wondering when they are going to play!

@dazzap1234 I don't like going two up top given how settled we are. But cover for McDonnell is the real problem. He's barely rested since coming into the team. If he goes down, then what? I don't want Read to be asked to do what McDonnell does. Square pegs round holes. An avoidable situation

@John_GR63 We are saving time and money by going this route. No non-league club is paying a fee for Tom Hopper unfortunately, who everyone on here would have you believe is rubbish (although typically now being much nicer about him now he's gone)

@letts_harry @GabSutton The problem is when he has the ball at his feet. It makes me nervous every time. But as a pure defender I think he's actually good. Being captain is clearly a factor but I don't agree that this is the only reason he plays every game. Frustrating for Goodliffe but it is what it is

@Kemble24 Hopper actually has a decent first touch and hasn't missed that much when in goalscoring positions. But for all his hard work, has just been anonymous in games too often. It's a shame.

@tomhwilliams23 The Braintree chairman explained the other day that the main reason Harrop was sacked was because he went 50% over budget when it came to recruitment. Putting the club under a lot of financial pressure to perform. We can consider Steve Pitt the budget replacement...

@GabSutton @EFL Everyone played well for Col U tonight but my goodness... genuinely concerned now that Tovide will be gone in January. So good. Swindon were atrocious.

@jkanalysis7 He had good games for us last season but he also conceded several goals through the most basic handling errors you will ever see. Didn't communicate with his defenders well and was unsure with the ball at his feet. He's young but needs to drop down the divisions in order to learn

@OliCUFC3 @GabSutton Tovide is ultimately having a bigger impact on games than Taylor is. Taylor is the better finisher but in terms of actual forward play, Tovide is having a fantastic season.

@BigWillColU I think he's getting a bit of a free pass at the moment because the only alternative is Rob Hunt. Not sure I can point to anything he particularly offers and we can do much better.

@swspurs I like Kelleher a lot and can understand his frustration at not moving in the summer. I generally like Vicario too but the way he expresses himself in certain situations doesn't inspire confidence. Give me the keeper who has shown he can stay composed at key moments any day.

@EagleEyedColU You have to remember that the Cowley's have only really had one window to change the squad, and lost quality players in it. We have a decent first XI now but no depth. As frustrating as it is after the last 15 years, we need to exercise some patience here if we want real change.
