My son is autistic (now 28), when he was 4 the only person I would ever leave him with was my parents, try leaving an autistic child with someone who they don’t know that well would be a nightmare, in sight of that Mr Cummings did the correct thing

My son works for a large supermarket, kept going, started at 3am everyday, went in on days off, feared for his safety at times from customers who were angry, he’s autistic and find some things difficult, I clapped for him and his colleagues

Leave the diagnosis to the experts, my son is autistic as are 2 of my grandchildren, my son has DLA £100 a month, it paid from age 2 to 14 for speech therapy, the money is there to help support their extra needs, maybe learn a bit more about autism and ADHD

Well said, my son works in Sainsbury’s, started at 3am every morning, worried him sometimes especially when the first lot of of shelf emptying madness happened, he’s also autistic so was hard on him, worked hard as did all his colleagues
