Admittedly, I don't think my productivity has shot up in the way I hoped it would. I found plenty of other distractions. It seems that digital detox is not a magic cure.

@DC_claxton @bo66ie29 @Laughingmantis @CKCMagazine Well, a little bit... 😀 There were dozens of GRP kits in the fifties and sixties with Ford 1172 bits and suchlike.

@mendthings @RalphHosier It's a long time since I've dailyed anything I'd describe as a classic, but for occasional use, I reckon the money I spend on upkeep far exceeds that of fuel. You can always go out once a week not twice if fuel is prohibitive, but we need the skills to keep them going.

@drdiandra It's good. Mostly common sense, so far (I'm about half-way through) but thought provoking and very readable.

@Dwarfio Yeah. It left me convinced that the best way to treat anxiety is not to focus on it and try to consciously treat it, but to attempt to live with it, in the hope that the focus switches to something else and it then fades. Easier said than done, but it seemed to work for me.

@Dwarfio It was just flipping that switch from "I can't go out and do something fun because I feel crap" to "I feel crap but I'm going to go out and do something fun regardless". Acknowledging that doing something - even in a diminished form due to the anxiety - was better than nothing.

@LUDENClassics Love the colour for the body. Not a fan of the wheels, though.

@Dwarfio The conclusion I reached (although I don't claim it works for everyone) is that it's very difficult to consciously treat anxiety. I tried to accept it and enjoy things regardless (mountain biking was the main one for me) and in time I realised it wasn't there anymore.

@RalphHosier I realise places like Bicester Heritage are making fantastic inroads on that. We just need more. And we need an acceptance that it's fine for people not to know and to need to ask questions or seek assistance when it comes to doing jobs themselves.

@Scrof Does every additional word make it incrementally more premium than the bog standard GLC that Kev From Accounts has got?

@GarethEvansUK Did a bit of Googling. The bottom line seems to be that it's not worth the upgrade if you have a Pixel 7. But I have a Pixel 5 and my contract has expired. 😀
