“Notable” is one way to put it. He’s the sixth starter on a team with 5 guys clearly better than him. Would be “notable” if one of their actual key players wasn’t in camp. But whatever gets people to click I guess.

Look is it possible the entire offseason the Yankees and Cardinals have been in a state down? Maybe. But Jack Curry and Andy Martino are very plugged in and they said they are not in on Arenado. I’m inclined to believe them.

And then what happens next year when similar to Marcus Stroman we are dying to get off his money and no one wants him? At 3 years 52M it’s a complete non-starter. STL would have to eat at minimum a third of the remaining money for me to even consider it.
i can’t imagine that the Cardinals would want anything significant for Nolan Arenado, its a money dump for them if it just comes down to adding the salary and he waives his no trade clause, the Yankees need to make it happen
