@TopherField Unlike human diseases the policy on the management of diseases of livestock is based on a purely cost basis. So presumably someone's crunched the numbers and worked out this is cheapest.

@gonglei89 Possibly. I think it has more to do with it being a flat arable area of maximal size that still allows for unity and being geographically isolated. Thus there has been a large unified population with little impact from other cultures (13th Mongolia being the exception).

@OneNationAus The biggest problem in Australia is wealth inequality in a culture that doesn't know how to deal with it. Cut government spending is the worst way to deal with this. Perhaps being on a politician's salary has left you out of touch.
