Just got official confirmation that Deep Research by @GeminiApp will be rolling out to iOS users next week! I really do hope it comes with the ability to set which model you want to use in the settings, Gemini 2.0 Flash Thinking with Deep Research will do so well! Ah, I must admit, I'm truly sorry, but despite the $200/month for Pro Mode, I have to say that Gemini is consistently winning this game of Tug-o-War. The value of cross-app reasoning truly is unparalleled. For me, ALOT of it is UI/UX A significant opportunity for OpenAI would be to enhance their user interface, much like they just did with the captivating fading effect of their thoughts 💭. The models are great don't get me wrong, but I’m curious to see what OpenAI can introduce that’ll reach this level of innovation and engagement in terms on UI I do think Gemini now has to focus on Agents. Their models are super good already. Deep Research for Gemini needs to change their summarization. Introduce their 2.0 Flash Thinking model to DR and expand on the types of reports that can be created like @NotebookLM ~ marketing plans ~ dynamic notes section w/ memory+thinking included ~more research focus apps + include ‘compare’ feature actively into searched queries (meaning instead of primarily using compare, you can use compare to compare a single query at the end) not sure if that makes sense. But yeah, keep it up @GoogleDeepMind, @googleaidevs, @GeminiApp team! 🔥
