College football might be causing the rapid decline of college athletics, but at least I’ll get to watch Indiana play Washington in basketball at 11 PM ET next season on a streaming service that doesn’t work, so it’s hard to say if it’s bad or not.
Indiana basketball would be fixed if 95% of the middle aged fanbase didn’t tie a significant amount of their emotional wellbeing to the performance of teenagers and learned to compartmentalize and be able to just say “dang” and move on with their life when things get choppy.
Here’s some fun with numbers:
Here’s every player in college basketball over the last 30 years to average at least 18 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 blocks per game.
At its core, being a guy in your mid-20s is about developing a parasocial relationship with a podcaster and then being unable to be a functioning member of society if they deviate from their publishing schedule.
Loyola can’t get high quality games because they’re too good. Get underseeded because the Committee relies too heavily on results-based metrics. Pants high-major team in the Tournament. Can’t get games the next season because they’re too good. Rinse. Repeat.
Still in Bloomington and went to Buffalo Wild Wings to watch games today.
There is virtually no interest in this Indiana men’s team.
The overwhelming sentiment around here from talking to people is the vast majority is ready to move on from Mike Woodson. The questions are :
The Little League World Series is great because a kid will try to throw a big looping curveball and a 6’2 12-year old named Brackstyn will hit it to the moon.
Rutgers is a NCAA Tournament team. You’re lying to yourself if you say they are not one of the best 68 teams in the country. Miss me with your counter arguments
Mike Woodson had one (1) very bad offseason that put him on the hot seat and is trending towards having a very good offseason that potentially addresses a lot of the complaints about him that landed him on the hot seat.
Wild times.
I was wrong with my number yesterday. Got the final number and the wire is complete. Wanted to be accurate.
Do I expect all of it to be used wisely. Of course not.
But I'm still proud to be able to give back to our country.
I've said it for years. After military

has learned.
The 6-3 freshman guard averaged 11.5 PPG this season. Former top-50 recruit.
News: Indiana has been in contact with one of the biggest names in the college basketball transfer portal — North Carolina’s Caleb Love — and “there is mutual interest.”

Story, quotes, background and more:
Amid a year of difficulties with players and staff, Indiana Pacers coach Nate Bjorkgren’s future with the franchise is uncertain as the regular season nears an end, sources tell ESPN. The Pacers are 30-34 and in ninth place in the Eastern Conference.
There’s no denying Mike Woodson and Indiana have added talent with their NIL.
Now the question becomes whether the pieces fit together.
I’m still not certain the Hoosiers have enough perimeter shooting.
Does Indiana have a talented roster compared to the rest of the Big Ten? No.
Do Tom Allen teams execute the little things needed to overcome the talent disparities? Also no.
