BTN folds… 6 players $12 flop… T❤️J♦️6♠️… checks around $12 turn… Q♣️… A check or two, villain bets $10, folds to Hero who raises $30, all fold. Villain mutters before mucking, “I only have the bottom end of the straight, bully wins again.” Hero falls out of chair and needs resuscitation. 🤣 Point is: This guy literally told the table to bluff him with impunity.

@asiandaddy6969 I generally don’t. But in evening games, I will. I’ll have one and keep it in front of me all night.

Thanks to 10x raises and straddles, I can be on games playing 5/5 where relative short stacks never adjust and think 67s is playable. Tight pf, low SPR, and TPTK are king. And people call you a nit. It’s laughable to 20bb/hr with less variance than a short relative stack should have.

@BachrachAdam I had a game for over a year. 930am and full table. Nits showed up after our game was full. That game was Friday night…but Tu-Fr mornings. Insane. Now, I gotta hit the 2nd table. The nits open the 1st. Let 7 of them sit, then get on the next one.

So true. When you learn something new, you’ll misapply it. For me, this started in elementary school on the golf course after reading Golf Digest. In my 50s, it continues at poker tables…

I forgot what a flopping a set looked like. We HAD to be running cold in that department. Until we weren’t. We knew we’d catch up quickly. Hit four (two b2b) in our last session. Those are hard to lose.
