The prevalence of #ChildLabor in Sub-Saharan Africa is rising and now stands at 23.9 % of children 5 to 17, comprising 86.6 million children. There are now more children in child labor in sub-Saharan Africa than in the rest of the world combined. pls RT.

💲The @USDOL reached a major agreement with JBS USA Food Co. to combat unlawful #childlabor practices in the meatpacking industry. JBS will contribute $4 million to assist affected communities and victims and provide resources like scholarships, job training, and housing aid. The company will also implement stronger compliance measures and launch awareness campaigns. This move strengthens compliance efforts and signals an important shift in industry standards.
