Every life matters. 7pm last night, 900 Pandora, @vicpdcanada officers were flagged down for an overdose. No breathing, no pulse. Officers performed CPR for up to 10 mins & gave several doses of Naloxone. They never gave up. They revived the male, he was taken to hospital

Please slow down when roads are icy & slick. The Infiniti in front of me found out the hard way. Was tailgating a taxi then sped around it accelerating to 75km/h on Blanshard St by Mayfair Mall. I wrote the 21 year old driver a $167 ticket (Speed Relative to Road Conditions).

Unfortunate it had to come to this but all options were exhausted. Minister Beare’s comments are spot on. Solid leadership on her part. Looking forward to working with newly appointed trustee Bell and special advisor Godden to draft a school safety plan that works for everyone.

A successful wrap up to the EmpowHER Junior & Senior Girls BB tournament hosted by @vicpdcanada Victoria City Police Athletic Association. Both finals pitted SMU and Oak Bay. Shout out to Cst Jenna Carver for organizing & VicPD officers for attending to support the tournament.

I happened to listen to the @vicpdcanada response to this call on the police radio. Suspect seen in the mall with a firearm on Sun afternoon with the mall full of shoppers. A quick response, multiple officers flooded the mall, suspect identified, then located & arrested.
Another day, another incident involving an imitation firearm. Duane Gerrad faces multiple charges and was arrested at Hillside Shopping Centre yesterday afternoon after being seen carrying what appeared to be a real firearm, prompting a resource-intensive, high-priority response. Gerrad, who was in breach of court-ordered conditions and had outstanding warrants, was prohibited from possessing weapons or being at the shopping centre. Learn More:

It was an emotional reunion with the family. The dog had escaped during New Year’s Eve fireworks, family frantically searching for her all night. It is believed the dog ran onto the rocks in the dark and stayed there all night with the tide coming in around her. Great outcome.2/2
