“aside from fushiguro megumi, i truly do not care.”
these were the last words that came out of yuuji’s husband, ryomen sukuna, as she was kicked out of the estate, for a mistake she did not commit.
izuku froze in shock. “what?”
/throb./
haru sighed, rubbing his temples. “you are a selfish person, pa. you only think about yourself and never think about me or dad. maybe that's why this happened.”
/throb./
“maybe that's why dad left you.”

a modern au where sukuna and yuuji are engaged but sukuna is cheating with megumi.
yuuji knows this and makes all the necessary arrangements to leave him.
“maybe that's why dad left you.”
izuku gasped, his mouth trembling with his sobs, his son, haru was towering over him, with a hard expression on his face.
izuku made way to his room, locking the door. he slid along the door, sitting on the ground.
his eyesight was blurry, his throat was burning and his nose was running.
“just what i have done to be treated this way?” izuku lamented, closing hsi eyes.
***
everything was fine with izuku.
he was having a decent job at a renowned support tech company.
he had his own house, after working himself to the bone as well as a car, which was now his own, after he made his last installment.
he visited his mother often, spent time with---
he also flinched when he said those words, but quickly collected himself & stood glaring at his father.
izuku stood still, frozen in his spot when he heard his son utter those dreadful words.
his heart broke once again, the pain spreading from his chest to the rest of his---
he had a perfect lifestyle, working out at the gym, volunteering at the orphanages and quirkless institutes, and helping out people in the best way he can– by designing hero’s costumes.
izuku was quite happy in his life.
until he met ground zero again.
***
it was a scene straight from a fairytale.
izuku, a quirkless engineer saved from the hands of a deadly villain by the rising hero, ground zero.
izuku was flattered, but he knew better than to raise his hopes. he was just a deku to katsuki, he will never acknowledge him.
izuku stepped forward and slapped katsuki.
“how dare you talk like that? she’s my mother!” he cried out.
“what would you do if I was in your place & you were in mine?”
“the words of a /quirkless/ person about my parents would not matter to me.” katsuki spat out with venom.
---
that's what i had in my brain. i'm back! i'll try and update my threads and ao3 soon. tell me what you think of the story btw😇
retweets and comments are greatly appreciated 👍🏻
“your father is with someone other than me and this is what you're asking me?” izuku cried.
“does anyone even care what pain I went through?”
“no one needs to. you're selfish enough to think about yourself. that's why you tore us apart.” haru countered.
they both sparred, had their leisure time & watched movies together.
at first, they did not oust izuku openly.
they would change the topic whenever izuku sat beside them & they would wear fake smiles, assuring him that nothing was wrong. the dam broke when haru turned 11.
*
izuku froze. “what the fuck did you just say?” izuku asked.
katsuki raised an eyebrow. “well, am I wrong? she’s as good as dead, deku. she can’t walk, talk and even show any emotion. it is a waste of money.”
izuku took a cab only to see katsuki on his knees in the room, apologising to him.
katsuki told him that ua humbled him and also admitted that he liked izuku in middle school but was not aware of how to express his feelings.
as the child grew up and reached five years, katsuki started pulling away from his family.
izuku tried everything to make katsuki happy but it was never successful.
the perfect image of izuku's family was slowly falling apart.

was paralysed for the rest of her life.
katsuki was immediately beside izuku, both of them comforting each other from their losses.
*
izuku visited his mother almost every afternoon and came back to see his husband and child engrossed in some discussion.
izuku stood up, glaring at his son.
“don't you dare to raise your voice on me!” izuku yelled.
his son was huffing with anger and resentment in his face.
“yelling back at me won't change the truth. you know that right?” haru questioned.
that was the last thought in izuku’s mind as he succumbed to the darkness.
---
izuku woke up to the feeble sobs of his mother.
inko’s dewy eyes quivered when she saw izuku opened his eyes and quickly fumbled to press the emergency button.
the following month izuku served divorce papers to katsuki in a cafe.
katsuki protested but izuku was not going to waver anymore.
izuku threatened that he would expose his infidelity to the media and his career would tank.
izuku looked up from the couch to see his son standing in front of him, with his hands in his pockets.
a thousand alarms sounded in Izuku's brain. “what do you mean you saw it?” he asked.
haru tilted his head sideways.
during that year, haru developed his quirk. which was similar to katsuki and hisashi’s quirk.
he could fire explosions from his throat. soon the father and child pulled themselves away from izuku.
“sometimes people fall out of love with each other, haru.” izuku told him. but haru never listened.
“no! you chose to leave even when dad tried to solve things with you!” haru screamed.
izuku sighed. it was useless to talk about katsuki– the one he idolises & worships.
*
katsuki visited his company almost everyday, bringing some sort of food or book in his hands, a peace offering to spend time with izuku.
gradually, in the span of one year, the duo started dating and in the following year, they got married.
even if the offer was tempting, izuku politely refused.
haru still had his daycare and he could not run away from his husband over a small fight.
the day of their departure, mitsuki, masaru and inko met with a deadly accident. katsuki’s parents died on the spot, while inko---
“hero ground zero /finally/ knowing his worth and moving on? fans wish him the best and share their happiness!”
izuku broke down, the phone falling out of his hands, on the ground.
he placed a hand over his mouth, to muffle his tears but with no use.
izuku’s chest tightened, the onset of tears flowing down his cheeks.
“why are you crying mama? you deserve it after what you said.” haru said.
the whole world stopped for izuku. “w-what?” he murmured, looking at his son.
“where were you, deku?” katsuki asked him, with a scowl on his face.
“i visited mom. they’re changing her medicine.”
katsuki scoffed, getting up from the couch. “that’s the reason why there is no food on the table?”
“that’s not fair, kacchan. how am i supposed to pay my mother’s bills if i quit? and moreover I am still in the line for—”
“besides, how long will you pay for oxygen for a dead person? it’s not like she will get up and walk with the treatment she’s getting.”
“if work is not allowing you to make food on the table, quit it.”
izuku was taken aback. “what?” he asked, incredulously.
“working under tech support is not necessary if you can’t make time for your family.” katsuki repeated.
izuku smiled and told him that he forgave him a long time back and that he accepted katsuki’s apology.
the dinner ended on a note that the childhood friends would stay in touch.
izuku honestly expected that katsuki would not bother himself anymore but he was wrong.
*
katsuki turned and quickly scrambled out of the bed, rushing to put on his clothes.
“deku it’s not what it–”
“no!” Izuku screamed.
he glared, getting up from the floor and wiping his tears. “i don’t want to hear anything. not anymore.” he said, running out of the house.
*
izuku was overwhelmed with the attention but meekly nodded his head, twisting his fingers on the sheet.
the doctor seemed to notice his discomfort and urged the doctors to go out.
during izuku’s stay, katsuki never visited once. which was fine and what he expected.
katsuki signed papers after that, both of them opting to co-parent haru.
the reason for the divorce was not revealed, on katsuki's request.
haru was very vocal about his disapproval of the divorce.
izuku explained that katsuki cheated on him and that he no longer loved him.
the doctors flooded the room, checking on him with pads of paper and pens in their hands.
the head doctor examined izuku’s sight with a torch and happily passed a verdict that he had a mild concussion.
izuku felt his blood drain out of his face.
what happened to katsuki and haru?
why were they talking like this? is this a villain’s quirk?
but katsuki spoke like that to izuku all the time.
even the public think that izuku is useless right?
that's why people think that katsuki deserved better?
after what he went through in his life, was it not enough? why must the universe punish him this way?
“oh, you saw it.” haru said.
izuku sighed, crying even more.
nothing he said matters to haru. he will support katsuki only.
“it was your father who cheated on me.”
“but he wanted to work out things with you! you were stubborn and you tore this family apart!” haru screamed.
that weekend izuku wanted to spend time with haru so he asked him what his thoughts were.
“that's fine with me.” haru said. izuku didn't expect haru to agree with him that easily.
but he was happy that his son was willing to spend time with him.
katsuki started to shout, argue and even display his quirk whenever Izuku and him fought. izuku was tired, sad, angry and most of all helpless.
the following week after the couple’s most intense fight, mitsuki, masaru and inko offered izuku and haru for a getaway trip.
bt on the day of izuku’s discharge, he was given a piece of paper with an address, instead of his bill.
the staff informed izuku that the bill was paid in full by katsuki and he was asked to go to the address mentioned, for further information.
one weekend, katsuki brought haru over to izuku’s house.
“what happened? it’s not my week.” izuku asked, when haru walked in.
katsuki just scoffed & told him that there was an emergency & that haru would have to stay for the weekend.
izuku sighed & bid Katsuki farewell.
izuku frowned. “yes. i had a double shift today—”
“are you working more than I am?” katsuki questioned, his eyebrows drawn together.
“what type of a question is that, kacchan?” izuku asked. “our works are different and I have my share of the work to complete—”
“what are you talking about? just what is going on for you to call me here?” izuku asked her.
the maid never held izuku’s gaze and averted her eyes on the road. “your h-husband, sir. he is with an-another p-person.”
//wait. no. please tell me it's not what i think it is.//
“did you know?”
a nod. izuku's heart shattered again, not expecting this from his own son.
“but why are you crying? did you think that dad would stay hung up on you after you left him?”
haru looked at him with a frown on his face.
“dad is right. you need to take care of him, he has a larger workload than you. besides, how longer will you cry for my grandmother? she is already dead.”
his sobs and sniffles were too loud to be silenced with a hand.
tears flowed down his cheeks, his head throbbing with pain and his chest hurting.
was this /that/ emergency? katsuki just dumped their son to have fun with his /mistress?/
was izuku not worth any respect?
izuku flinched but nervously laughed. “what are you talking about?”
the maid frowned and bowed. “i’m sorry sir. but it’s true. i'm sorry. i found out just today. please believe me.”
izuku came back from a long day, he worked overtime and visited his mother in the hospital.
the medicine prescribed to inko was more expensive and he was required to sign some documents regarding them.
he opened the door to reveal katsuki & haru on the couch, glaring at him.
“i'm planning on taking only haru with me, izuku.”
izuku stopped talking. “huh?”
katsuki shrugged his shoulders. “i mean, i want this to be a father-son trip. i want him to have some time with me.”
they named him haru– the spring which shattered the long, cold winter in their lives.
izuku’s life was perfect.
a loving husband, with supportive parents and in-laws along with a lovely child, there was nothing more izuku wished for.
izuku and katsuki wanted children and found a person with a quirk that allowed them to have a child.
one year of antagonising paperwork, permission slips and background checks later, a baby boy was placed in the couple’s hands.
the leaked photos of katsuki and the other person, exiting katsuki's apartment.
the photos clearly show that the two of them were intimate with each other.
the title of the tabloid was what hurt izuku the most.
izuku wished it was puberty. but it was something much worse.
*
one day, the maid called izuku and told him to come home immediately.
with an uneasy feeling, gnawing in his heart, izuku drove back to his house.
the maid was standing near the gate.
on the last day of their stay, izuku was waiting for haru in the lounge of their suite.
haru was attending an online lecture for his school about some exam. izuku was on his phone, browsing the internet.
that was when he saw it.
from that day, izuku hired a maid, who cooked food and cleaned the house.
he personally taught her how to make katsuki’s and haru’s food.
katsuki never complained about anything to izuku after that. izuku thought that things would get better between them.
*
each step he took, izuku’s heart broke into pieces.
he opened the door to see katsuki kissing someone else, while having sex.
izuku sobbed out, falling on the floor with his hands over his face.
inko told izuku that he was going fast in the relationship but he never felt that way.
katsuki loved him and he loved him back. that’s all that matters, isn’t it?
during the trip, haru called izuku and spoke to him every night.
but at the end of the trip, haru never called him back.
katsuki chalked it up to the fact that he was tired and was exhausted from the day.
so izuku went all out for the expense.
he decided to take his son to a nice resort on the outskirts of the city.
izuku and haru spent their time walking around the resort, enjoying the amenities of the resort and eating all different kinds of food.
before izuku could analyse the situation, katsuki’s buzzer went off, signalling the immediate need for his presence.
he turned away from izuku and offered his son to watch him defeat a villain.
haru gladly agreed, and followed katsuki, leaving izuku alone.
*
izuku thought that it was great and for the sake of his son’s happiness, he agreed.
haru was very excited and happy for the trip and izuku did not have the heart to obstruct the trip because of his selfishness.
izuku dropped them in the airport and they left on the plane.
haru often started the conversation which izuku gladly continued.
he was glad that his relationship with his son was improving.
that was enough to push down a feeling of dread which izuku has had ever since katsuki dropped off haru.
puzzlement filled izuku with every step he took towards his house.
he opened the door and found clothes scattered on the floor. he could hear obscene moans and grunts from izuku’s and katsuki’s bedroom.
izuku ran and asked her what the matter was.
the maid was frowning and hesitated at first.
but she told him that there was something going on in the house which would make izuku feel betrayed with his family.
katsuki & haru returned from the trip, while izuku applied for a leave and threw them a party.
izuku tried to speak to haru but he never responded back.
katsuki told izuku not to worry and told him that haru was going through puberty.
when haru turned 15, katsuki wanted to take him on a nice trip overseas.
izuku was happy, haru was talking well with izuku and katsuki occasionally spoke with him.
they fought but not that often. izuku was muttering about what to pack and asked katsuki where they would go.
“we still need to sort out the prototypes of the suit bolts, mei.” izuku muttered, jotting down the details on his notepad.
mei frowned, setting her glasses on the table.
“izuku. why are you not on the next bus to your apartment?”
izuku flinched, smiling sheepishly at his--
sukuna looked over his shoulder at this mother-in-law, who was puffing out smoke from her ears with how angry she was.
“i know that i don't deserve to love her, but i'm someone who tries my best in everything i do.”
sukuna said, turning back and walking out of the house.
[a/n: i have no idea what yuuji's cursed technique will be. let me know if you guys have any suggestions. let me know what you guys think of this idea! does it have enough potential for a fic?]
before him was the rising hero ground zero, on his knees and a sad expression on his face as he bowed down till his head touched the ground.
“izuku, please forgive me.”

please remember that this is the flashback, i'm forgetting to put this in the beginning!🥲🥲
but as a mother, she cannot control her son, but respect his decisions & support him to the best of her ability.
these were the thoughts running in the mind of inko midoriya as she walked down---
the empty & dark corridor of the resting ward & to the main entrance of the hospital.

you'll find whatever we had on the shared account there. that's all i guess.” yuuji concluded.
there was another voicemail.
the final one.
“i hope that your relationship will be worth the heartbreak that you gave me. goodbye sukuna.”
“don’t even think about stepping into this district until next week.” tensei told him, firmly.
izuku nodded his head while waving at mei.
the door closed, making izuku sigh with relief. he yawned, his eyes tearing up at the corners.
to be honest, tensei and mei were right.
//best if you take my kingdom and my granddaughter away from the demon.
yuuji is special, as she has inherited the family’s cursed technique, though she is unaware of it.
if yuuji goes to the hands of the demon, there will be no stopping him.//
izuku nodded, sweat rolling off his forehead. “ye-yeah! the checklist!”
“that never ending checklist? the one in which for one crossed item, you add three more?” mei asked, tightening her hold over his shoulders.
izuku gulped nervously. “um. that’s not always the case!”
izuku could feel his body as he was lifted from the ground by [katsuki] ground zero and placed on a bed?
he could feel somebody with gloved hands inspect his head and place it gently on a fluffed pillow.
he could feel a needle pierce the skin on his hand, and a mask placed---
sukuna and uraume manage to drive away the traitors, with choso handling megumi and the remaining people.
the traitors left, vowing to fulfill their intentions another time.
---
beauty can change the beast.
his mind was for some reason more cruel and supplied him with another heartbreaking incident to fully grasp the situation.
/you’re just a useless deku who doesn’t even have a quirk./
izuku winced, his chest throbbing in pain.
friend and co-worker.
“uhh, i still had this work on my checklist for the week!” he stammered, nervously turning his gaze the other way.
mei smiled, walking towards izuku and placing her hand over his shoulder. “your checklist?” she asked.
“my employees need to take care of themselves before working. that’s when the work will be done without error, isn’t it, midoriya?” tensei lectured him.
izuku hung his head low. “yes sir.” he muttered under his breath.
tensei beamed, nudging Izuku into the elevator.
izuku could feel the exhaustion seep into his body.
he really needed to rest properly and have some real food.
not instant noodles and dumplings.
and when was the last time he cleaned his apartment and bought some groceries?
“if you don’t go home right now, i will rip out the head of your golden age all might figurine.” mei said, her face contorted in anger.
izuku gasped, narrowing his eyes. “no, you take that back!”
mei walked towards izuku but both of them were stopped by a pair of hands.
he’s doing his job, nothing more, nothing less.
izuku was a person who knew his reality and never indulged in harmful and dangerous fantasies.
he knew that his middle school [friend]
acquaintance was just doing his job, and that this was not some fairytale where
he started punching in the letters, with his tongue peeking out of his mouth, listing out all the things he needed to do in this one week of mandatory week leave.
1. water the plants [if there are any left alive]
“I sleep in the cabin’s bunk beds!” izuku defended himself.
“not those one to three hour naps, izuku. proper sleep for eight hours, you know?” tensei countered, a hand on his hip.
“ever heard of that? sleeping for eight hours like i don’t know, a normal human being?”
mei grinned, a mean smirk over her face. izuku frowned, fiddling with his backpack’s straps. “b-but–”
“but nothing.” tensei chided softly.
“it has been over three days since you’ve gotten proper sleep and rest. when was the last time you slept?” tensei questioned.

☕: Where do you think you're going,brat?
🗝️: & where do YOU think you're going, alpha?🤨
izuku’s fragile heart started to flutter.
//he’s coming this way.// he thought gleefully but that was quickly shot down by the cruel yet honest part of his brain or rather memories.
itadori yuuji was a princess.
she had her grandfather, who was gravely ill. due to unbecoming circumstances, her small kingdom in the west had fallen.
her brothers who were leading their army were rumored to be dead, their bodies never found.
“now now, let’s not fight here.”
both of them twisted their necks to see their boss with a frown on his face.
“tensei-san!”
tensei huffed, clicking his tongue. “izuku, mei has a point you know.” he said, pinching his forefinger and thumb under his jaw.
izuku loved watching people and walking down the street. he lifted his head, watching the sky.
izuku smiled, watching the rosy sky, and the busy streets and buzzing people crossing the roads.
he hopped all the way to the interjection of the road.
izuku winced internally, thanking the gods for mei and tensei for being his friends.
bless them really, because someone needed to kick izuku out of the office.
he fished his phone out and opened the notes app.
tensei pressed, with a knowing look on his face.
izuku pouted, counting with his fingers. “ i slept for five hours!” he said, cheerily.
“that was three days ago, beanie.” mei said. izuku’s mouth opened and closed like a fish under water.
2. assemble the cat tower which came in last week [or last month was it?]
