We have to throw our support to Marathon in tomorrow's Championship match. Public schools over Private schools in the New York State Public High School Athletic Association Championship.
#NYSPHSAA
We are guaranteed that a public school will be playing a private school for the nysPhsaa Class D Boys Soccer Championship next Sunday. Obviously, we will be rooting for the public school to prevail.
Chazy working wounded. Heath Lucas, playing with 25 stitches above his left eye due to a clash of heads in the NYS semi-final, and Jordan Ratelle, played every minute of the Championship match after suffering a fractured left wrist in the first half.

In the
#HeartOfAChampion
category, Jordan Ratelle suffered an apparent fractured wrist in the first half of Chazy's Championship match. The senior defender played every minute of the match, appearing no worse for the wear. Simply courageous.
This is the 43rd League Title (CCIL, CVSL, CVAC, MVAC, NSL) for the Eagles since 1953.
The program (since 1953) holds a record of 880-175-53 (.818 winning percentage)
Coach McAuliffe (since 1996) has a record of 439-35-20 (.908 winning percentage)
There will be a celebration of the 2018 New York State Class D Boys Soccer Championship this evening, 6:00pm, at George Brendler Field. All are invited to attend!
With this afternoon's win, the Chazy boys varsity soccer program has earned their 900th victory all-time. Congratulations to all the players and coaches over the past 66 years for making Chazy soccer what it is today!
Congratulations to Coach Robert McAuliffe on reaching an incredible milestone of 500 victories with this afternoon's 6-0 win over Lake Placid. Coach McAuliffe's record is 500-43-24, a .903 winning percentage. Over his 26 full seasons, his teams have averaged 18.5 wins/season!
Did you know that it's only a 10 mile drive between Cincinnatus (section III champion) and Marathon (section IV champion)? As the crow flies, it's only a 7 mile distance.
All aboard! Destinations: Middletown, Cortland. Best of luck to the Chazy boys on their
#QuestFor10
, and the Chazy girls on their
#QuestFor4
. Bring home some hardware!
So, to show how little the NYSSWA rankings really matter, Section IV sectional brackets are out. South Kortright, the
#1
ranked boys class D team, per NYSSWA, is the 2 seed in their own sectional tournament.
#14
ranked Marathon is the 1 seed.
What is not lost on us, is that nysPhsaa is perfectly fine with the Class D Boys Soccer PUBLIC schools being severely disadvantaged. We kick off more than 4 hours after the PRIVATE schools kick off their semifinal. The private school winner will have 24+ hours to recover.
2019 NSL Division II Boys Soccer Champions are the Chazy Eagles. This is the program's 35th league title in the last 40 years. The program is currently 3 wins shy of 900 wins all-time.
With more well deserved accolades likely coming tonight, we are pleased to recognize the NSL Division II All-Stars from our team
First Team
Justin Collins
Tristan Conners
Hayden King
Heath Lucas
Second Team
Alex Chapman
Riley Hansen
Ben Norcross
Congratulations.
Chazy girls down the Seton Catholic Knights 3-0 on senior night. Olivia McLennan led the way with 2 goals, Hadley Lucas scored the 3rd. Aiyana LaMoy, Amelia Stevens, and Kendra Becker recorded assists. Emmy Moak with the clean sheet.
That win just cost me a few hundred bucks. Headed down to Middletown to watch the game in person! Happy to be a few hundred bucks poorer if it means I get to see history.
Marathon will play Fillmore at 1:30 next Saturday while Chazy plays Mount Academy at 4:00 next Saturday. The winners will play for the championship at 1:00pm next Sunday.
We definitely agree that Coach McAuliffe is legendary, but Coaches Tom Tregan and George Brendler are also legendary. We also have a bunch of youth level coaches and most importantly, parents who are legendary. The roots make the tree, and we are fortunate for all who sacrifice

We're juat a bunch of kids from a small community that has 1 gas station and not a single stop light that graduates 30 every year. To say we're athletic peers with parochial schools that can draw wealthy kids from a massive geographical radius is silly. nysPhsaa doesn't care.
In Section III Class D Boys Soccer semis, third-seed Cincinnatus knocked off second-seed Fabius-Pompey 3-1. They will play first-seed Poland in the final on 10/30.
Congrats to our boys, and seniors on a fantastic season and career. Never the way you want to end the season, but you battled your hearts out in extraordinary difficult circumstances that were completely beyond your control. Enjoyed watching you young men play this seasonm
It's nice to see our local newspaper put so much work into a 16 page-supplement that covers a male-dominated sport that only 8 schools in Section VII participate in. I can't wait for the 16 page inserts for girl's soccer and another 16 page insert for boys soccer.
Chazy Boys Soccer defeat Willsboro 3-1 to win the school's 35th Section VII Boys Soccer championship. They will travel to Potsdam next weekend to play the winner of Monday's match between Heuvelton and Chateaugay.
3 more quick goals for the Chazy girls to start the second half. Olivia McLennan with a goal and 2 assists, Hadley Lucas and Emmy Moak add goals, and Hadley earns her 2nd assist. 5-0 Chazy.
Final score, Parishville-Hopkinton 1 Chazy 0. The Panthers advance to the the Class D Final Four. Outstanding season for our Lady Eagles. You've made us proud.
Eagles will renew an old rivalry with the Poland Tornadoes tomorrow at 1:15pm, for the Class D Championship. Chazy and Poland met in the Championship match in 2005 & 2007, Eagles winning both.
Chazy girls played their Senior Night game this evening vs Seton Catholic. The Eagles came out 2-0 winners, backstopped by senior GK Olivia Rotella. Celine Juneau and Ava McAuliffe were the goal scorers, with Celine assisting Ava's goal.
