Most expected a $100k+ top in 2021—a clean 100x from the 2013 peak. While that didn't happen, something curious did:. 2022 bottom: $15,632 (100x from 2014 bottom). 2024 halving price: $63,977 (100x from 2016 halving). Makes you think. 🤔

73 coins have appeared and fallen out of the Top 10. They averaged Top 10 status for 50 weeks but that's pumped up by Litecoin. The median is only 19 weeks. H/T @lopp
Wanted: a chart that shows how long every crypto token that has made it into the "top 10" by market cap has remained in the top 10 before falling back out.

At this point in the prior cycle (red), I started evangelizing #bitcoin to anyone that would listen. The price was running from $2k to $5k. It then crashed to $3k and everyone gave me crap. Some of the same people are giving me crap about the drop from $64k. 🤷♂️🤦

#bitcoin cycle bottom index - It's remarkable how similar the current cycle (white) is to the prior cycle (red). If this continues, it implies a peak of $350k with a drawdown back a price similar to today. Unlikely but who knows?
