After all this confusion and hardship, I am proud to say that I have finally made a breakthrough in my discoveries. I can't say what it is yet but it's definitely something that will benefit many!

Year: 2012 I am so grateful to have been given the L'Oréal-UNESCO Prize for Women in Science-Latin America. I was given this amazing award for "identifying how rotaviruses caused the death of 600,000 children each year" and I hope to be a great influence on all the girls in STEM!
