By 11.30am, all that has been achieved is a jury has been sworn in and sent back out to deliberate. The sentencing hearing which follows is delayed due to an unclear sending sheet from the magistrates court. All concerned appear determined to press on, and yet...

@SarahLawrence18 @PollyRippon @BBCNews My understanding is s.44 YJCEA - which starts from arrest - was never brought into force so anonymity doesn't kick in until they reach youth court but clause 9 of IPSO editor's code says you should not identify juvenile after arrest
