@CoKeynesian The NRC was created on behalf of the fossil fuel industry to protect them from the only technology that could replace them.

@HealthRanger I'll believe it when I see it, the UniParty is too big to fail.

@ClayDMontgomery They don't have a chance. At the NRC safety comes first and the safest reactor is one that never gets built or one they force to be so expensive that no one is foolish enough to try and build a second.

@6point626 Simple/cheap 2 step 1. Replace the discredited LNT model for low-dose radiation exposure with the radiation hormesis model. 2. Give every qualified start-up 50 acres of military munitions testing land in the desert to build and test prototypes. Iteration is the key to innovation.

@6point626 Make the change from the unscientific Linear-no-threshold model for low-dose radiation exposure to the scientific radiation hormesis model. Think about how many aspects of the power plant would change. From initial construction through the life of the plant.

@6point626 It wouldn't cost a dime, just science based regulation changes.

@NRCgov Let's test the NRC's knowledge: Which scientific model best represents the physical effects of low-dose radiation? A. Linear no threshold model B. Radiation hormesis model And how do each of them affect nuclear power plant construction costs?

@stokdog The NRC is not a distraction, it's a roadblock, a really expensive roadblock.

@_NamrokNamrok_ Republicans got their cut of the laundered tax money by just not saying anything. They are too lazy to come up with the scams on their own.

@ENERGY The big question is whether he is brave enough to take on the NRC obstructionism. They will not self-deregulate, they will have to be forced or replaced.

@NRCgov The ADVANCE act has no teeth as long as the LNT model is the basis of radiation (over) regulation.
