The Biden administration is launching an attack on Title IX in regards to women’s sports. I have passed legislation preventing men from participating in women’s sports or using female locker rooms or restrooms in Tennessee. I will always protect the safety of women in Tennessee.

Maury County received a $560,000 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) for a sewer rehabilitation project and Mount Pleasant received a $630,000 CDBG for a water system improvement project.

I had a terrific day seeing our high school librarians and principals all over Maury County. I was able to provide the new Blue book to each school. It is gold this yearto commemorate the 100th anniversary of women winning the right to vote.

Both boys are now driving tractors and Bush hogging. It is amazing how quickly they grow up to be independent. Sitting in the truck and watch them go round my heart remembers when they were little resting on my chest. Soon I’ll be watching their children Bush Hogg my pastures.

Today we had the bill signing for the Smart Heart Act. I want to say thank you to all the members of the General Assembly as this passed with unanimous support providing an AED at high school sporting events in case we have a athlete with cardiac arrest.

We are excited to announce a 2 million dollar grant from the state renovating our Columbia Library. This will provide better access to individuals needing a local resource. We received additional money promoting our county wide broadband program helping more in Maury County.
