@civilg99 @hecklingnome @scottfromark @RealBrysonGray @The_Sig_ I appreciate that. Means a lot that you can show some respect even with a disagreement.

@civilg99 @scottfromark @RealBrysonGray @The_Sig_ Kodak black does have some deep songs, but when people are talking rap they’re not talking about Trap Music. They’re talking about Hip Hop. Which is artists like Kendrick Lamar, J Cole, Common, Kanye in 2004, The Game etc

@civilg99 @scottfromark @RealBrysonGray @The_Sig_ See. You can’t argue with the point given. It IS deeper than you’re making it seem. When you’re a musician it becomes simpler, but rappers still make poetry and use rhyme schemes and variations of figurative language to tell stories

@jobber_young @civilg99 @scottfromark @RealBrysonGray @The_Sig_ Not at all. I learned how to play any Beatles song during pandemic lockdown. It got boring so I started learning OUR music. The Isleys, Motown, Gospel.

@civilg99 @scottfromark @RealBrysonGray @The_Sig_ Rappers perform with live musicians all the time 😂 tf are you talking about. You don’t know what you’re even talking about.

@civilg99 @scottfromark @RealBrysonGray @The_Sig_ That’s like saying it’s easy to write a Shakespearean play or to be Emily Dickerson or Robert Frost or Maya Angelou. They wrote just poetry. Rappers write poetry and THEN perform it in sync with music. You’re just trying to diminish it because you don’t understand it.

@civilg99 @hecklingnome @scottfromark @RealBrysonGray @The_Sig_ This guy not even a good rapper and Scott Storch produced this whole song from his own fingers on a keyboard

@civilg99 @hecklingnome @scottfromark @RealBrysonGray @The_Sig_ Most great hip hop artists don’t use preprogrammed sounds. Ever heard of Mike Dean and Scott Storch? They make a lot of great music for the most famous rappers. Just look in the credits and you’ll see who played what instruments on each song

@jeasRyuu @RayStudios29 @RealBrysonGray So why are white rappers always bad at rapping and Eminem is yall best shot at claiming a spot in the culture? Because rap requires a swag and confidence you have to be raised in a specific environment to obtain. Anybody can learn how to “fry” not everyone can sound good rapping

@hecklingnome @civilg99 @scottfromark @RealBrysonGray @The_Sig_ Guitar, bass, xylophone, piano. Really any instrument I put my hands on. But from their own mouthes they said they didn’t know music theory when they created Abbey Road. I watched the interviews and documentaries.

@Browse4Liberty @RealBrysonGray Most rock is based in powerchords. Going outside of powerchords makes it literally another genre. like Hall and Oates’s music is a different genre. Prog rock is even based in powerchords. Only thing that really separates it is chordal arpeggios.

@civilg99 @scottfromark @RealBrysonGray @The_Sig_ It takes very little knowledge of music theory or practice to play rock music. That’s why the Beatles and Nirvana didn’t know music theory yet were successful musicians. It doesn’t take much skill to play their music. I learned the basics of guitar from the Beatles.

@thewayneupshaw @RealBrysonGray I’m a musician and I learned more about music from rap, RnB and hip hop than country or rock. They’re all the same songs. You hear one country song, you heard em all. But a real rapper can make a song about a multitude of situations and it’s more sonically diverse
