Mr.Trump & Mr.Musk want these unequal & undemocratic farm ownership patterns to continue in South Africa hence why they’re (1) misinformed & (2) continue to misinform the world about what really is happening in South Africa.What then is the meaning of democracy?

It was a great and humbling honour to meet with Dr Temba M’Cwabeni at my home in Johannesburg today. He is a medical doctor in Canada, where he moved in 1980. He trained as a medical doctor in Zimbabwe and graduated in 1973, after his parents had moved there from West Africa. His father was a South African teacher who rebelled against Bantu education and left with his family for West Africa in 1958. On retirement, his parents moved to Zimbabwe, where he trained in medicine. He has been following my reporting on Zimbabwe’s hospitals and healthcare system, so he went to Harare and visited Sally Mugabe Hospital formerly known as Harare Hospital. He said his heart sank when he saw that the trauma room where he had worked as a young doctor in the 1970s was still the same today and that nothing was working. He asked me what I thought needed to happen for Zimbabwe to return to what it was during its heyday. I told him that the Zimbabwean mindset, which sees it fit to block each other for an hour at a traffic light, needs to change because the leaders are a reflection of the country’s mindset. Besides being South African, at 78, he still thinks fondly of Zimbabwe and cares deeply about its struggles today from Canada. We truly need to change the country’s mindset and the destructive nature of our politics. Meeting him today reminded me why people like myself should never stop what we do in informing people about our struggles and the power of social media when used properly.
