@CBM_Cringe "This movie was clearly made thinking that Kamal was gonna win" - "Kamal" announces run: JulyΒ 22, 2024 CLEARLY Marvel Studios made this film (that they first announced back in April of 2021) between late July 2024 and early Nov 2024 because they thought she would win. Clearly.

@backhandoftruth @marvel_updat3s I saw a political commentator on YouTube who said that he doesn't watch "these movies" in genrral (idk if he meant CBMs or the MCU specifically) but a friend dragged him along to see Endgame. He was bothered by Steve - the white guy - passing the shield to "some random black guy"

@DynamicAnalysis @DougWhiddo69434 @MarquisChidi ThanksπI've heard about that also. The skepticism IS warranted, imho. Personally, I prefer to wait it out & see if more is revealed. For now, I can't commit 100% either way 'til we see hard #'s, if that's fair π I think it's more than $180M, but idk about $500M like some say.

@PapaRexGoBucs @CultureCrave @DonAmorimEra @DEADLINE Culture Crave can only report on the official #'s that are provided by official sources. They're citing info from Deadline. Is there a source that lists what the advertising budget and cost after resorts are (assuming they truly are not part of the $180M after tax incentives)?

@PapaRexGoBucs @CultureCrave @DonAmorimEra @DEADLINE If they could report total budget right now before it's even fully out yet, wouldn't they have to know how much the film made overall during its entire theatrical run? Because how else would they know the final cut of all ticket sales that Disney has to pay to the theater chains?

@Shad27 @CultureCrave @DonAmorimEra @DEADLINE If they had just wrote the word "budget" by itself, then that would be misleading. However, they very clearly wrote πproductionπ budget. Therefore, their post is not misleading. See this post for Gladiator II for a similar example.

@MatchesPeach @CultureCrave @DonAmorimEra @DEADLINE Why would Culture Crave have the total #'s for marketing budget right now for a film that isn't even out yet? No one (even Disney) knows what the cut to theaters will eventually cost Disney because it hasn't finished its run yet. Listing just the product budget (for now) is fine.

@FormerModerate @UnderwaterPixe1 @CultureCrave @DEADLINE Also, I believe that $180M reported budget is factoring in tax incentives. Similar to say, how Ford v Ferrari has an "official" budget of "$97.6M;" but the actual amount spent on production was more 'til they received a reported $17M in tax incentives for filming in California.

@DonAmorimEra @CultureCrave @DEADLINE There's nothing misleading about them reporting what the projected earnings are or what the reported production budget is. It's very standard industry practice. They way you came off in that first reply was as if they were intentionally setting out to mislead "someone's mum".

@DonAmorimEra @CultureCrave @DEADLINE Then that would be on the "normies" isn't it? They wrote *production* budget; not *total* budget (including marketing / theater cut).

@AJDraws @MarvelStudios I see your point π I'm just not sure that a geriatric Ross is gonna be in command of his full faculties on his 1st outing (look how long it took Banner). It's also not Sam's 1st rodeo. Sam can evade long enough to tucker Rulk out. Also there's his vulnerabiliy to sharp objects.
