@datepsych Fruits Basket is weird- like great they don’t glorify abuse & neglect but the main character is expected to fix them. She is put in very uncomfortable sexual situations by some of these trauma dumping characters….I could go on 5

@datepsych Fruits Basket: an orphan girl gets mistreated & taken advantage of by the people who take her in (with the head of the household being a “lovable pervert”) but it’s okay cus they are just broken people who “ ❤️ her”, and every one of the characters trauma dumps on her. 4

@datepsych All of Rumiko Takahashi books all have the same themes: a lovable “pervert”, threats of rape, oversexualization of the characters, if not some type of age gap. 3

@ask_aubry Leave If you choose to stay, you cannot marry until you graduate couples therapy. If he doesn’t want to go, you have to leave cus it will never get better without the therapy. Would be easier to leave.

@thepeacepoet99 To miss something like this, it’s constantly brought up & talked about on our feeds. That you have to really go out of your way to touch grass & miss something like this. It’s so different. 4

@thepeacepoet99 Also the culture was just different. Yeah people watched tv but people were “touching grass” so often that it wasn’t like people were attached to screens like they are now with the phone. With the phone (if not for better but mostly worse) it’s almost impossible 3

@thepeacepoet99 There was so much shows/specials/interviews at the time that it was really easy to miss things. Heck if you missed an episode of anything, you had to wait for the second airing or the reruns. 2
