@raulpacheco I assume IAH which is kinda far but my husband who grew up in Houston and is there a whole lot for work says depending on time of day you could go get food or go to Montrose (the Menil Collection is really lovely).

@raulpacheco THIS. Life happens when youā€™re doing a PhD. When admin asks me about time to degree itā€™s ridiculous to think I have to explain to them that sometimes people have extenuating life circumstances.

@IDEpiPhD Q2 cont: sometimes itā€™s a bad year for a school in a certain area, but things could change in future years - a grant gets funded, students graduate, etc. Ask about mentor capacity and resources!
