Today is the Feast of Bl. Anne Catherine Emmerich, the German mystic whose visions of Christ’s Passion condemned Jews. She described Jews as merciless persecutors of Christ, crying for His blood, and conspiring against the early Church. She was beatified in 2004 by John Paul II.

Today is the feast day of Blessed Pope Pius IX. Beatified in 2000, he reinstated the Jewish ghetto in Rome and refused to return Edgardo Mortara, a Jewish boy secretly baptized into Catholicism. He declared: ‘It is an error to believe that all religions are equal and true.’

In 1922, St. Maximilian Kolbe wrote critically of Jewish influence in his magazine: 'The enemies of the Church have gathered together in the Masonic lodges, with the Jews at their head… They do not hide their hatred for Christ and His Church but seek to destroy it.'

After yesterday’s events, could anything be more strikingly clear than the truth of St. Paul's words in 1 Thessalonians 2:14-16, where he states that the Jews are 'enemies of all mankind'?
