From now on, @mklilley is where I'll be posting about not just #physics, but #science and #technology in general. I hope to see you there 👋

Do you see it? Tiny images of the solar eclipse are projected onto the floor because the tiny gaps in between the tree leaves create "pinhole" cameras all over the place. I was so lucky to capture this today. ☺️ #Physics #EclipseSolar #Eclipse2023

Is landfill really so bad? How much #land is actually taken up by all our #rubbish? I was surprised by the answer I got from doing some #guesstimation

Can you grow your own #food? Do you need a farm, or will a small garden suffice? Once again, the power of #guesstimation cuts through unnecessary detail to provide an answer🙌 #physics

Getting past the "I have no idea" reflex in #guesstimation can be hard. In this video, I introduce you to the geometric mean - a really powerful tool to help you get started when you think you know nothing. I love this tool, I hope you will too ❤️🤓

My third video on #guesstimation. Solving "impossible" problems often involves dealing with very big and small numbers using scientific notation. This video gets everyone on the same page and brings the ideas to life with another planetary scale problem.

Second video in my new series on #guesstimation - solving "impossible" problems. Ramping up slowing, we cover the essentials of what successful guesstimation looks like and how to get there. Then we bring it all to life with a #fun planetary scale problem

First #education video in a new series on #guesstimation. We'll be #learning how to solve "impossible" problems using our general knowledge and we'll have some #fun along the way. It's not just about #Physics but about the #Mindset of solving hard problems

It's been a looong time since I did a YouTube video about my experiments from last year. TL;DR - I didn't make #coldfusion / #lenr happen, but I'm still curious about it and am doing some fun experiments with Alan Smith from the LENR forum in his lab.

@Mr_PhilSaville Hi Waving hand. I've got no reason to think Mizuno is a fraud. It might just be that he was lucky with the materials he had. It seems to go that way with #coldfusion / #lenr - when you think you've cracked it nature swiftly puts you back in your place.

Been having lots of fun with #observablehq creating interactive #quantum #physics notebooks to simulate some simple systems. Looking forward to amping up the complexity 🤓

@Mpanga96 Hi Gilbert. Thanks for messaging and great to hear that you are interested in this stuff. In my experience it's best to start with a question that you want to answer and then just start digging...you'll soon discover areas of focus. Happy to help out if I am able.
