@bridge2far_ The statistics show your 1st paragraph to be exaggerated though. They have the highest birth rate in Asia and ASEAN and yet they still have a low % of single-parent households. Filipinas were never easy but most will love their guy until the day they die.

@MancunianQuiet I thought about the multi-generational household thing. But I concluded since single parents get various benefits there, they would still denote themselves as such even though they may have their parents or relatives helping them.

@zapatas_mom The part where men want dumber wives than them I’m not sure cuz in higher-income professions like lawyers, bankers, doctors, these men tend to marry similar rather than a woman out of highschool. Could be proximity but they’d have less challenge with latter.
