Today, for the first time, I walked into a major retailer and picked up something I wrote. This is my local @barnesandnoble where I practically grew up. I’m thankful to the amazing editors at @frictionseries for making this moment possible. Dreams do come true. #amquerying

I loved this piece. “A loss is just a blank space. A nonevent. It’s a win that happened to somebody else. It’s not interesting at all, and it has nothing to tell you…The losses are the preamble—they give meaning to the wins.”
There’s no way to avoid losses in this industry—only ways to handle and meet them head on. What’s more, “the people who end up with a lot of wins are typically also the ones who have a lot of losses,” writes Rosalie Knecht in “On Losing.” #SubscriptionOnly

@whimsyqueen My family moved to Arkansas when I was a kid. I always said “you guys” growing up because of that stigma, I didn’t want people to think I was from here. I switched to y’all a few years ago because it’s SO much more gender inclusive. Plus there’s nothing friendlier.
