Every summer we come together to pray, visit, be renewed, have fun…which means 120 or so of us all together. It’s called one amazing family gathering! We’ll be sharing a few snippets these next days…this one speaks of the simple joys of life.
Happy Solemnity!!! Today let us run to His Heart, and may we remember one of the promises He gave to St. Margaret Mary, that those who promote this devotion "shall have their names written in my Heart, never to be blotted out."

Happy Father's Day! Today we pray for ALL fathers, living & deceased; for those who have neglected their children; for those who strive daily to be faithful; for spiritual fathers, our priests. Read about our Merciful Father:
We have a beautiful custom in Carmel of greeting our feast day Sister with song, offering flowers. In this case, a flower was offered on behalf of all. Our little Sister made a beeline over without using her cane just to show that she could. She’s rightly named after St. Elijah!
Today bring to Me THE SOULS WHO ESPECIALLY VENERATE AND GLORIFY MY MERCY, and immerse them in My mercy. Not one of them will go into the fire of hell. I shall particularly defend each one at the hour of death.
Pray the divine mercy chaplet with us:
Today bring to Me THOSE WHO DO NOT BELIEVE IN GOD AND THOSE WHO DO NOT YET KNOW ME. I was thinking also of them during My bitter Passion, and their future zeal comforted My Heart.
Pray the divine mercy chaplet with us:
We thought you’d enjoy this random video of us cleaning our skillet! We’re in great spirits because three of our sisters are professing their perpetual vows this afternoon! Don’t forget to join us on YouTube for our livestream at 3pm PDT, God bless you!
Today we mark 50 years of faithful love as Sister Benedict Marie and Sister Marina celebrate their golden jubilee. We thank God for their vocations in Carmel and the many lives they have touched! Praise God!
Tomorrow we have the perpetual profession of vows of four of our sisters! Tonight, we’re setting up and preparing for an intimate family dinner of 130 after the festivities. Pray for our sisters!!
On August 17, 2002, Pope John Paul II entrusted the world to Divine Mercy. On the 20th anniversary of entrustment of the world to Divine Mercy, we ask God for His Mercy on the whole world.
A glimpse of our last gathering for the summer (as everyone was home in SoCal!) before our sisters return back to all our different areas of service in-state and out-of-state. What a blessed time it was together!
On this Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we celebrate the birth of two new Carmelites! Today, Hunter Beggs and Miranda Howes donned their blue Postulant uniforms and were received into the Postulancy at our Motherhouse. Please join us in prayer for them.
This is what happens when there is leftover energy after working on Christmas cards. It’s a “silent video” because we had sisters praying inside the Chapel. For the record...the group that lost was actually practicing Christian charity in letting the other group win. :)
The largest Eucharistic procession in the US in decades… epic. Such a powerful experience to walk alongside hundreds of other religious. The sisters processed first before the monstrance, the bride of Christ ushering in the Bridegroom. Pure gift. National Eucharistic Revival
Praised be Jesus Christ! We invite you to join us at 5:30 pm (PST) on Instagram live for our Salve and evening prayer. We look forward to praying with you...

Today’s feast helps us to reflect upon the virtues necessary in living a holy marriage & family life. Saint Joseph took to heart the mission entrusted to him. Mary knew his love for them & was able to fully entrust herself & her Child to his care.

Happy New Year! Here are three of our twenty tips for 2020 from the Carmelite Sisters. See the rest in the video!
1. Don’t forget to smile! A smile can save a soul.
2. Live in the present and do something that makes you feel ALIVE!
3. Put God first, especially on the Sabbath.
Everything, even sweeping, scraping vegetables, weeding a garden and waiting on the sick could be a prayer, if it were offered to God.

On this day of the Presentation of Our Lady, we sing a hymn to the Mother of our Lord as we remember the day she was presented to God in the Temple. We love you, Mary!
