Watched the hearings on AG Ken Paxton. Witnesses seemed quite credible and testimony damning. Of course, the AG deserves a defense but that doesn’t happen until the trial. In this case that’ll be in the senate if the impeach resolution prevails. We’ll take this seriously.

To correct the timeline here, to my knowledge, I was the first elected official in the country to file legislation to eliminate toxic DEI. On December 13, 2022, I filed HB 1006 to accomplish this goal—well over two months before the Florida bill was introduced. #txlege.
SB 17 went into effect Jan. 1, 2024, instigating a year of terminations, political pressure, protest, heated hearings and vows to increase DEI limits.
