I was one of the few brought in to help read through applications when the @Wink_Realm team quickly found out that they were drowning in them. I must say I really appreciate the way @0xChefGoose is handling this project. The team gets along, the artists work well together, the dev (@gabrielrvita) isn’t even allowed to say "sorry" if he makes a mistake, but rather gets praise thrown back at him for all the things he does right. After a look inside I’m also very excited for launch and post-launch! I personally spent roughly 30 hours reading through and researching applicants, we had some guidelines to follow but since every applicant is different, a lot of different metrics were looked at. We had three selections for each application; "to be approved", "to be approved(mini wink)", and "to be rejected". These were then used when Goose went through the applications again after we were done. He’s not kidding when he explains how difficult it is to accept some and turn others down, and compared to him we had it on easy mode. A total of 8.8% of applications got approved, which understandably leaves A LOT of applicants feeling unlucky. If you were one of the many who got rejected, it is not personal, and I saw how Goose was at times fighting his own choices. (Except for the many applications very obviously written by ChatGPT and the ones clearly struggling to type 200 characters, fuck you guys lmao) (For transparency: any application from anyone I have a bias towards or have issues with I skipped over and saved for the others on the team)
