2023 FBA Fees: Taking a look at the US FBA Fee Schedule for 2023. Anyone doing light products should look carefully. We used to design most of our products to be 12 oz or less because there was a steep fee increase at 12 oz +. This has been getting smaller over time.

Very interesting thread on how Amazon's ad business is basically a tax on sellers who pass it on to consumers. Totally agree, the number of placements etc has gotten out of control. Even worse, now they have pressure to grow from $31B to xx......
Looking at Amazon's quarterly financials, it would be easy to mistake the company's $31b ad division as a serious shift in the online advertising industry, but that would be a huge mistake. You see, Amazon's not really selling *ads*. 1/

Big gift kw in our niche - 13 of the top 20 product slots are ads, not including the giant headline ad. Cost per click somewhere between $1.5 to $3.0. Even at 30% conversion you'd be losing money. Hard to see how this is even remotely sustainable.

FBA Tip of The Day: Shrink wrap your products at the factory. Amazon likes to stick shipping labels directly on product packaging if the box looks sturdy. We cut down 95% of these types of complaints by shrink wrapping.

Amazon now has a report showing invalid clicks in PPC. We had 7,336 invalid clicks out of a total of 53,577 - 13.6%. Not surprisingly the highest # of invalid clicks were on competitor and copycat product ASIN targeting campaigns. Competitors not happy to see us on their pg!

Our 3PL cannot accept a planned container next week because some of their other clients are desperately removing FBA inventory with gift cards in them (pic from 3PL).... I'm not sure how to feel, scrambling for a solution for our container but happy that the cheaters are scared!

Q4 FBA stock strategy. So Amz is currently giving us 400K units of storage in the US. We would like to avoid 3PL costs and send a lot of our Q4 stock directly to FBA. But if they lower the limit suddenly, we may be stuck by not being allowed to keep our top ASINs in stock.

One more issue with the low inventory fee (as if we need another) is you are being charged the low inventory fee but Amazon won't let you send in more inventory because you are at your storage capacity. About to happen to us in Germany!

Don't sleep on Amazon Germany. We pretty much gave up on Amz EU after Brexit because of all the logistics hassles and Covid. Started focusing on DE again in Q1 this year. Did 1700 Euros in revenue yesterday from 300 same day in 2021. Figure we can get it to 100K a month!

If you are manufacturing in China and have goods on any kind of a deadline, do not ignore this. This is getting real quick...
In Jiangsu, steel mills have closed and some cities are turning off street lights. In nearby Zhejiang, about 160 energy-intensive companies including textiles firms were shuttered. In Liaoning, 14 cities have ordered emergency power cuts.

We have an ASIN that is very clearly a toy and yet is being charged FBA Fees as an apparel item. Cases raised, confusion ensues, nothing resolved after months. Cost in Nov so far - 6741 units * 0.38 = $2561. Dec cost will be triple that. Need a human to look!

Saw more information on the pulled down company I mentioned yesterday - 天泽信息 300209 SZ stock code - I said yesterday they had 340 accounts frozen. Apparently that we out of a total of 1135 that was in another one of their regulatory filings from June. So still a ways to go!
