Crimean Tatar journalist, Seyran Saliev continues to be persecuted in jail since he imprisoned for political reasons in 2017. How come none of your journalists write about it?
My husband, Crimean Tatar citizen journalist Seyran Saliev, was repeatedly placed in punishment cells in Russian colony No. 4, located in the Tula region. However, he has now been transferred to strict conditions of serving his sentence.This is pressure and pressure on my husband
When Russia fully invaded Ukraine in 2022, I had a German friend of 🇷🇺 origins. Her family completely cut their Russian relatives, and she never visited Russia. She asked me to choose between our friendship and my support for Ukraine. I chose Ukraine, and our friendship ended.1/8
She suddenly started to say she is Russian (she was born and raised in Germany, she is a German citizen only). Her parents never taught her Russian. She had to take Russian lessons. From the caring person she used to be, she became cruel and heartless towards Ukrainians.2/8
Only after the rape did she see the real side of Russia. Until then, she had that romanticized view of Russian, and she thought they would see her as one of them. Her mother called me to say that they're feeling guilty for never telling her how bad Russians are.5/8
While living in a remote part of Russia, she was beaten and raped by an ex convict who returned back to Russia after fighting for the Russian army in Ukraine. She was left for dead, and because she received late medical care, she is physically disabled.4/8
I feel sorry for her, and although she supported Russia against Ukraine, she never deserved to be raped and left for dead. So please do not say she got what she deserved. 8/8
Her parents feel directly responsible for what happened to their daughter. We ended the call by her saying that she will make monthly donations to Ukrainian fundraisers because it's the only way to pay for their mistakes. Mistakes that for which their daughter's paid.7/8
Today, her mom got in touch with me to tell me that a few months back, she went to Russia to meet their Russian relatives. She decided to stay there against her parents' wishes. She was an adult
They couldn't convince her to return back to Germany.3/8
She said that although they knew how cruel Russians could be, they were thinking it's not good to say the truth because after all, they have Russian origins, and they need to defend the image of Russia.6/8

@DucuGavril
Unfortunately yes, so many people in the West have this romanticized view of Russia and fail to see the truth or listen the truth.
@Gerashchenko_en
Russians will realize too late that most of the world stands with Ukraine and that the few supporters they have will abandon ship soon.
@sumlenny
@POTUS
@ZelenskyyUa
This moment right here shows that two of the world leaders aren't scared of Russia and they're working together to stop the terrorists.
@JeremyKonyndyk
Russians never respected the safety of the humanitarian convoys or aid workers. How can you blatantly protect Russians and minimize their atrocities while they continue to target civilians and aid workers in Ukraine?
@olliecarroll
The words you choose to use matter, you should know this very well as a journalist. It wasn't a legitimate target but you made it look like it.
@Gerashchenko_en
Great reaction from the people of Kazakhstan 🇰🇿. Having a Russian passport doesn't give them any rights in Kazakhstan.If they want to show support they they should go back to Russia.
Georgians want to be free from the Russian ties, they're standing for their future. They're strong and resilient. 🇬🇪 will be part of the EU family too, where is their rightful place.
#NoToRussianLaw
@officejjsmart
Honestly they shouldn't be allowed to stay. I have seen 🇷🇺 who came to France to escape being drafted and they openly support the war against Ukraine. The majority who ran from Russia aren't against the war, they just don't want to die on the frontline.
@maksymeristavi
This is one of the most disrespectful things I have seen done to someone's memory, in this case Victoria Amelina. This should have never been done.
@EmineDzheppar
This is horrible. Yesterday she was talking about her friend and journalist Remzi Bekirov. She never stopped advocating and talking about the illegally detained and imprisoned Crimean Tatars. I really hope others will advocate to

like she did for many other.

@sumlenny
Deep down I wished it was true but the more I look them more looks like a false flag operation in order to cancel all the big the 9th of May military parade with the excuse of protecting the 🇷🇺. Or they plan to do horrible things in Ukraine and use this as an excuse.
@cepa
@elina_beketova
While erasing Ukrainian identity from the illegally occupied areas in Ukraine, Russia is also cleansing their own cities from the minorities that they don't see as real Russians. They will always do this if they're not stopped.

Heartbreaking, not knowing anything about his mother. He is a strong child, willing to share his story even if it's so painful. I really hope his mother is alive and they will be reunited.

Exactly, that is why I have shared this story. They didn't do it themselves for the fear that their daughter, will be attacked by Russians again. They all consented for me to share her story in the hope that others will stop having a great image about Russia.
@OstapYarysh
Thank you for this thread. I wish more people would stop finding excuses for the Russians. The ones who are against the war, a small minority, found a way to help or not participate in the war. The majority stays silent or actively helps in keeping the war going.

"President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy urged officials to abandon the practice of having the photos of the Head of State in the office and have the photos of their children instead, so that they can look into their eyes when making a decision."
Russians are taking away the childhood of Ukrainian children. Why the Western leaders delay the military aid to Ukraine? Do they like to see the children suffering?
“mom, i don’t want to die”
Alla ran away from russian occupation with her 7-year old daughter Zlata to Zaporizhzhia. genocide still caught up with them. during yesterday russian bombing the girl was so scared she thought they will die 😫

They decided before her birth to not say the truth, to keep a good image about Russia. In 2022 they could have told her the truth, instead they continued with Russia is great, Russia is right. Only when she went to Russia they tried to tell her it wasn't like that.

Russian attacked Ukrainian energy infrastructure that left 1,5 million people without power and disrupted water supply. This is an attack on civilians. Russia is a terrorist state. Never forget this.

Nice words but they're empty unless you say it clearly that Crimea is Ukraine. What did your PR team do for Ukraine since the war started? Why don't you ask Russians to return the Ukrainian children who were kidnapped?
@KyivIndependent
Happy Birthday to a president who stood by his own people and cared for them. Regardless of the risks he worked and made sure Ukraine's voice not only is heard but supported by the world leaders and simple people.

I was planning to buy tickets to go with my family but I didn't because part of me knew they will allow the Russians. We won't be watching or buying anything related to the Olympics. We live in France and we will also boycott companies who support the Olympics.

With so much pressure he did his best and yet so many Western countries think Ukrainian soldiers won't be able to use certain western weapons. Those western leaders should be shown videos like this, maybe it will change their mind sooner.
@Dpol_un
I cannot wait for the day when you will be behind bars. You are as responsible as any Russian soldiers who tortures, rapes and murders innocent people in Ukraine.
You have no soul, you are empty of any human emotion.
All the Crimean Tatars who had their house searched were detained, 9 were sent to SIZO, and one is in-house arrest. All the humanitarian activists are silent as as are the Western journalists about the persecution of Crimean Tatars. Please read this article ⬇️

The Russians who fled are pro-war and they have no issues in showing it. All the Russians who support the war and are abroad should be deported back to Russia. Why they ran outside of Russia when they're clearly supporting the Russia war?
Please support Ukraine in every way you can. Young Ukrainians are sacrificing willingly their life to save countless other lives. We can not bring this hero back, but we can save the lives of many others. Please donate to the fundraiser of your choice today, any amount matters.

There were at least 18 aftershocks some of them quite big in the intensity, buildings aren't safe and they will collapse hours after the main quake hit. I was taught in school to never to never go inside a building after an earthquake until the building structure is verified.
@DucuGavril
We should always keep in mind that Russians and pro Russians are skilled in manipulation, and they want to change opinions. Even something that we think it doesn't matter, long term it can affect all of us.
6/ The Kremlin is also an equal opportunity manipulator. It targets the full spectrum of those making or informing decisions. It partially succeeds on every side of the political spectrum.
@Mylovanov
I disagree with just one thing, they're not in denial. They know exactly what are they advocating for and they do not care what happens if Russia gets what it wants. The pro peace supporters are advocating for war crimes.
@GoncharenkoUa
We have noticed. From now on we will be engaging even more with 🇺🇦 profiles besides just sharing and likes. We are here to support you in every way it is needed.

Navalny has a good PR team unfortunately, they used emotional marketing in all their campaigns to make the Western countries feel for Navalny. He returned willingly to Russia because he knew he will get more support like this.

is targeting civilians and infrastructure. Russia did and you are still silent about it.

Kazakhstan looked like it was breaking itself from Russia, taking back their language and so on. What has changed? What made the government give more weapons to Russia?
