Officers have been out in Mill Road this morning tackling dangerous road users. So far they have caught 3 ‘close passers’, 8 drivers without seat belts, 5 on their phones and 3 jumping red lights.
They have also caught 16 cyclists jumping red lights and 5 on their phones.
Please be considerate when parking your cars, footpaths are for pedestrians. This driver was given a £30 fine for unnecessary obstruction as people with pushchairs and wheelchairs would not be able to pass safely.

A woman has been arrested following an incident outside Trinity College in Cambridge yesterday. The 19-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and remains in custody. Investigations are ongoing and Trinity College are assisting the police in this matter.

Cambridge neighbourhood officer PC Catling has saved the life of a member of the public.
PC Catling was first on the scene to reports a man in his 30s had collapsed in Cherry Hinton Hall Park on Saturday and was unconscious and not breathing.

City Centre officers reunited a victim of cycle crime with her bike. Stolen overnight between 14th and 15th April, the victim found it for sale on Gumtree. We identified the seller, attended her address, located the bike & arrested the suspect.

The Southern Impact Team were collecting conkers for their annual "Conker Convention", when they came across two suspected Class A dealers in Coleridge Rec. Both were arrested.
While the team were finishing the conker session, a third suspected Class A and B dealer arrived.
Police officers have been focusing on road safety this morning on Coleridge Road. 6 tickets were given out: 2 for driving without due care and attention, 1 for using a mobile phone and 3 for not wearing a seatbelt.
