The fortitude of these reds. Losing the 2018 CL final and returning to win it in 2019. Losing the league last season with a 97 point total and returning this season to incinerate the rest of the league. Genuinely incredible.
This will go down as a "pulsating premier League game" when it's been deeply unfair on Liverpool today. Both pre-match and during the game. A fucking disgrace.
Nobody gives a fuck about City's success because it's assumed when you spend that much money to acquire that squad and that manager that the minimum requirement is to win pretty much everything.
Liverpool are really good. Jurgen Klopp is incredibly special. But it's a bit demoralising seeing other teams buy their way out of a funk in a year when it took us 4 years of building for success to arrive.
It's weird because Dortmund had a legitimate bus attack and you never hear about it. I'm not condoning what did happen but these lads need to get a grip.
🗣 Vincent Kompany on the 2018 bus attack:
“I was on the coach as it was bricked. That moment things changed. The rivalry increased and they became our No 1 team to beat. The mood among City fans towards these games against Liverpool had changed."

United should put Ronaldo on a plane to wherever he wants to go and get rid as soon as they can. They should never have resigned him in the first place. United got played. Simple as that.
THE STANDARD OF THE LEAGUE IS VERY WEAK.
We're also the champions of Europe though.
THERE'S NO GOOD TEAMS IN EUROPE.
We're champions of the wo....
THE ONLY GOOD TEAMS ARE ON MARS.
I think Klopp makes it clear that you have to enjoy the success as much as you can. Liverpool have two pots to show off. How many seasons have we been empty-handed? This is important.
Not gonna lie, I was worried that the players would feel really deflated on the parade today but this is nice to see. I’m sure the reception from the fans will help. Love this club ❤️
All these dweebs picking the reds on FIFA because they're the balls now. I saw you picking Real when I was trying to get a tune out of Shelvey. I see you motherfuckers.
Pinned everything on Tchouameni and Bellingham and got neither, leaving the midfield to rot. That's piss poor. Wasted peak seasons of our best players. We've left silverware behind us because of those decisions. Especially last season.
It's because you're a nothing club and it's hard to paint a narrative of adversity and beating the odds when everything is stacked in your favour because you're a front for human rights violators that use blood money to buy success. Hope this helps.
Nice to see Milner take Elliott under his wing. He knows what it is like to play PL football at such a young age. He's such a benefit to have around the place.
VAR only works if you have common sense and have played the game a bit. Should only take one look to overturn this and book Havertz for simulation. But when you're a gormless prick like Coote that's completely out of the question.
Barcelona have been charged with corruption, after payments totalling over €7.3m were made to the ex-vice-president of Spain's referees' committee, between 2001 and 2018.
Seeing lots of "and we kept Origi" after that Ings goal. Ings is only capable of this because we let him go. A good player but he needed to be someone's first choice and get the minutes to get to this level. We don't see this Ings for Liverpool. Why can't people see this?
🇦🇷 Alexis Mac Allister's performance at Bournemouth silenced critics - and suggested Liverpool escaped an expensive mistake by not signing Chelsea duo

You haven't bottled it if you're a point behind with 9 to play. Rival fans and media have been trying to create this narrative since fucking December. We were never going to win this league at a canter against this City side.
I'm fine with this. Punish Jurgen for his actions. But only if you're willing to ask the tougher questions. What made him behave like that? Why are officials allowed to get away with failure that would result in terminations in any other field?
BREAKING: Paulo Fonseca, who has been linked with managerial vacancies at West Ham and Everton, has signed a new two-year deal with Shakhtar Donetsk.

It isn't a media conspiracy. City just isn't good copy. There's no romance. In fact it's the complete opposite. It's completely soulless and goes against everything that's earnest about football. There's nothing to admire.
"I was told quite recently that they have to have two lists of players, the Champions League qualification list and the non. Budgetary wise, it has to be factored in."

I mean it was a poor performance that day. No disputing it. But I'm finding it very difficult to have a pop at a team that might end the season with 97 points. At a certain point you just need to stop.
I want City to win it because it doesn't count in my eyes anyway. But mostly because the only chance we have of City and their ilk being held accountable is for other groups of supporters to experience what we have. That crushing inevitably.
It isn't enough. Nobody wants spending for the sake of it but they've let us down and we've finally seen the impact on the pitch. A club of our stature should be able to compete more for the best players.
According to figures from The Athletic, Liverpool ranks 19th in the Premier League for net owner funding over the last five years at *minus* £37m.
I looked at what this might mean for the Reds in a crucial summer.
Don't leave man. Look at all these young lads. Desperate to learn. Take a season off. Let Pep have them for a year. We'll all take a 12 month sabbatical and go again.
With the rumours that Wayne Rooney is off to the MLS after one piss poor season back at Everton let's review the Everton view on his signing less than a year ago.
Just making it up as they go along really aren't they? As long as he has Bryan Robson's autograph on a tambourine by Friday he won't have to self isolate.
Nobody cares because the City owners have done everything possible to kill the competition and turn it into a cakewalk. Liverpool is more compelling because they're refusing to accept that. In the face of ever increasing odds.
They sold Coutinho and they didn't have a plan. Waiting until the Summer isn't a plan. I'm not saying they're wrong to not spend this month either. But if you sell you best player you need to have a plan.
In these circumstances there's no glory. There's nothing compelling about the story. It only becomes interesting if you assemble the most expensive squad ever and still fail. Now that's interesting.
