Sorry for the long answer, but it is an interesting subject. --------------

The $ tends to become vulnerable, although I see attempts to revigorate the petro-dollar. The world changed and it will change more. @SloopyTexas @StucknDaMid @guycole @KareemRifai @EmmaVigeland 1/n Well, mate, here is where you're wrong. Not the handed money made US strong, nor the military power, but the values they stand for, carried by the capital and the innovation that goes with it, secured by the projection of force and lubricated by the 20 trillion $ all around...

@SloopyTexas @StucknDaMid @KareemRifai @EmmaVigeland I agree with your statement, but, although it might seem to you that we entered a new era of fairness and democracy, but things are foggy again and, not far from the former iron cortin, the same tyranny but with different doctrine rises.

@StucknDaMid @SloopyTexas @guycole @KareemRifai @EmmaVigeland I'm not trying to make you support anything, so I'm not... failing. As a filo American I'm just sorry to notice that US is fading and its place will be silently covered by China, even amongst the only reliable allies it has. You could say, though:"you're not right because..."

@StucknDaMid @SloopyTexas @guycole @KareemRifai @EmmaVigeland Nevertheless, I don't think it's a bad idea to audit the way public money are spent, I just say that some things are more complex than they meet the eye and US failing to project stability, economic power and safety will make them crumble under the weight of its own dollar.

@StucknDaMid @KareemRifai @EmmaVigeland US is an interventionist and, as long as your economy needs thousands of billions of $ rotating around the world, it needs a friendly and secure environment. You can quantify it by the spread of US businesses on the globe, businesses that feed the home economy in most cases.

@SloopyTexas @StucknDaMid @KareemRifai @EmmaVigeland Failing to understand a phenomenon doesn't make it a myth. Those two radio stations had an important impact in the cold war. Always remember that a tool is far more useful and effective in the worksite than on the store's shelves. +Those stations didn't make Europeans hate US

@StucknDaMid @KareemRifai @EmmaVigeland It's improving the image the US has in order to not have to resort to aggressive and much more costly actions for the same results. Take notes from China which is getting US discarded everywhere.

@RpsAgainstTrump I guess steel producers will head towards Europe and this might lower our steel prices. What a good idea, since we don't want to take anything from russia and our main alternatives were China and India...
