The WORST halftime show in Super Bowl history explained: Kendrick Lamar went on at the biggest event of the year and taunted America in front of the President of the United States. Let’s break it down. Samuel L Jackson narrated the entire thing. He was dressed as Uncle Sam and acting as the character he played in Django Unchained, the “House n*egro”. His narration was all about how America tries to control the behavior of black people. He said the following: “And this is the great American game!” “No, no, no no! Too loud, too reckless, too ghetto. Mr. Lamar, do you really know how to play the game? THEN TIGHTEN UP” Acting as though black people can’t ever be themselves if they want to be accepted by America. This is hilarious because they’re saying this as they’ve been booked by the largest event in America to perform for over 100 million people to act exactly the way they’re pretending is not accepted. I wish it weren’t, but it is, certainly by corporate America. The majority of America has allowed it to invade every part of society and refused to say anything because they don’t want to be called racist. Samuel L Jackson went on: “YEAH… That’s what i’m talking about, that’s what America wants, nice and calm, you’re almost there, don’t mess this…” All of that is particularly absurd because every civilized person wants their neighbors to avoid being “too loud, too reckless, and too ghetto” (however you’d define that). Pretending that’s white people trying to control black people is comical. It’s white, black and all people desiring good neighbors and a civilized society. They went on to use the symbolism of the disconnected American flag with Kendrick standing in the middle. They all then bent over and locked arms, symbolizing that America was built on the backs of black people, another absurd assertion if you’ve ever read a shred of history. They zoomed out and portrayed the stage as a prison yard, where the black dancers (which were all of them because there wasn’t a single white person in the performance) all danced in a militarized fashion to demonstrate that white people attempt to control them. He then went on the bring his rap beef with Drake into the show, performing, “Not Like Us” and calling Drake a p*dophile. Do we understand how outrageous it is to bring that rap beef into the center of America. These are the things that have gotten rappers m*rdered for decades. Being a rapper is the most dangerous job in America. There’s no occupation with a higher rate of being m*rdered. They get into beefs all the time because they can’t control their mouths and actions and end up k*lling each other. And we thought that was a good thing to bring to the center of America? Is the NFL crazy? That entire performance was a disgrace. It was a lecture of white people and a middle finger to America, the same America that has foolishly bent over backwards to embrace the violent and degrading hip-hop culture and refuse to criticize black people for virtually anything to avoid being called racist. The entire country is trending more conservative and traditional and the NFL is putting Kendrick Lamar on at halftime to lecture us, doubling down on their DEI policies, and playing commercials about how girls are better at football than boys. It’s mind-blowing. The NFL is on the trajectory of the NBA. Their popularity is not impenetrable. Keep on this path and fans will flee by the millions.
