Cabarrus County Schools will be closed for students on Tuesday, Dec. 11th. Road conditions are expected to be hazardous with icy roads due to freezing temperatures overnight. The make-up day will be Feb. 18, 2019.

CCS is keeping the safety of our students and staff top of mind in the wake of the effects of Hurricane Florence. All schools will be closed again for students on Monday, Sept. 17th. The make-up day will be Sept. 28th (originally a teacher workday). Please continue to stay safe.
Hurricane Florence is expected to impact our area. CCS will operate on a normal schedule on 9/13. All activities after 6 p.m. Thursday and throughout the weekend are cancelled. KIDS:PLUS will be open until 6 p.m. Thursday. All Cabarrus County Schools will be closed on Friday.

West Cabarrus High School leaders are excited to share the school’s new logo featuring its mascot – The Wolverine! Thanks to the WCHS students who voted to select the mascot and to the community for the mascot suggestions. West Cabarrus High is scheduled to open in August 2020.
The Cabarrus County BOE announced that Mr. Brian Schultz will serve as the district’s interim superintendent effective March 8 through September 1, 2021. The Board appointed Schultz at a closed session meeting on Monday, March 8, 2021.
