's Info on CWOSSA (K-W, Guelph, Brantford etc.) HS Basketball & Alumni. Not as active as I was a decade ago, but still providing some nuggets!
Kitchener's Javon Masters has just become the all-time leading scorer in Canadian University Basketball history! Congrats, Javon! (photo via

Eastwood couldn't dig out of an early hole and falls this evening to
#4
Toronto Central Academy in the AAA OFSAA QFs, 78-68. Still, a lot to be proud of with the school's first CWOSSA title and OFSAA appearance since 1973. Congrats all & best wishes to the graduating players!
Some disappointed NPC Trojans leaving the floor for the final time -- a group of 5th year seniors that won a lot of games, tournaments, and league titles together. Congrats on your accomplishments and best wishes for the future.
Ethan Andrews (NPC), Layee Jabateh (ECI), Mahier Mohamed (RCSS), and Ethan Passley (SMHS) were all named to the
#HeinbuchClassic
All-Star Team this past weekend. Congrats!
Congrats to Adham Eleeda & Northern Kentucky on qualifying for NCAA's "March Madness" with the Horizon League Tournament championship tonight. He joins Jamal Murray (Kentucky 2016) and Stefan Cvrkalj (Lehigh 2012,
#15
seed who upset
#2
Duke) as recent locals to make the tourney.
Streak snapped! Resurrection's Jamu Iluya scores 18pts as Rez hands SBCSS their first
@D8Athletics
Senior Boys loss since 2014-15 (29 games). 49-47 the final today at SBCSS.
Streak broken!
@MonDoyleCSS
hang on down the stretch and capture their first D8 Senior Boys' Basketball Title since 1993 with a victory over St. Mary's -- a 29-year wait! Congrats to the Mustangs on a great season and championship final!
Saddened to hear of the passing of former KCI Basketball Coach (and my HS Coach), Al Haehn. A man who made a tremendous impact on many, he was at the helm of the Raiders during their dominant run as one of the province's top teams during the mid-00's.
No surprise here! Top prospect in the region for his age group who put down some jaw-dropping dunks over the course of the season. Congrats,
@ObangLadera
!
The Rebs win it!

Eastwood advances to the OFSAA AAA Quarterfinals this evening with a win over
#12
Longfields-Davidson, 68-61. An OFSAA medal will be on the line this evening; ECI seeking CWOSSA's 3rd AAA medal in 4 years (2016 - SJAM Antique Bronze, 2017 - SBCSS Silver).
Mahier Mohamed with 36 to spur Rez's 64-63 comeback win over Winnipeg Fort Richmond in their final game at the Senior Call of the Wild tourney hosted by Brampton David Suzuki. Mohamed averaged 30 PPG during the tourney en route to an all-star nod.
Actually, after compiling a list of all qualified CWOSSA teams (which I'll be sharing hopefully later today), Eastwood's last OFSAA appearance -- which they also won -- was in 1973! But, regardless, well before any current players (and likely some of their parents) were born!

Eastwood's Ladera Ujullu-Obang announces his commitment to Gillette College (NJCAA) in Gillette, Wyoming. Pronghorns went 26-6 last season; same conference as Sheridan College, which fellow CWOSSA Alum Adham Eleeda attended before going D-1.

@WlooWarriors
MBB announces the commitment of two more local products to their 2019 recruiting class,, both from KCI -- 6'6" F Andrew Edgar & 6'2" G Wil Urosevic. Congrats to both!
Sad to hear of the passing of former UW Assistant Coach Curtis Dauber. In seeing posts this week, it's clear that his desire to help others impacted MANY in our basketball community: coaching, making highlight tapes, providing advice, without expectation of anything in return.
Congrats to the CWOSSA Champions that will represent the region at OFSAA -- Woodland Christian (A), Bishop Macdonell (AA), and Brantford Collegiate (AAA). Strong seasons by all thus far, and they aren't done yet!
Upset! Not the way they drew it up (first round loss to STM), but

HS Rankings -- 63-56 to advance to the semis of the

Basketball Silver medals after a tough, last-second loss to Calgary today. No small feat having dethroned the 7-time defending champion Carleton in the semis.
Big shoutout to the league convenors, athletic directors, and all involved for doing their best to shift around the final regular season and early playoff games in most CWOSSA leagues. Not an easy task with a lot of pre-booked gyms and moving pieces!
UW gets another CWOSSA product, as NPC's Ethan Andrew commits to the University of Waterloo Men's basketball team for the 2019-20 academic entering class. Congrats!
Three of the top CWOSSA Senior Boys' teams -- Kitchener Eastwood, Cambridge Glenview Park and Brantford North Park -- are slated to participate in the prestigious Silver Fox tourney this weekend. Here's a look at the draw...
Ladera Ujullu-Obang scored 43 points for Conestoga MBB in their 110-101 OT win over St. Clair College. Interestingly, Conestoga had two 40+ scorers as Terrell Lloyd (Woodstock) added 40. That duo are
#1
and 2 in OCAA scoring -- Lloyd 25.3 PPG, Ujullu-Obang 25.2 PPG.
#CWOSSAAlums
SJC wins it! A late 3 by Marcos and, after an ODSS possession, SJC was able to dribble out the clock before ODSS could foul. Congrats Eagles!
