I lost my boys who were 12 and 14 within six weeks of each other. Cancer for my oldest and a degenerative spine disease for the 12 year old. Hardest thing I’ve ever done. Saying goodbye sucks. We have to treasure every moment and know that they’re no longer suffering or in pain.

This is a good freeze frame. These aren't rockets, but air to air missiles being fired. Some missiles take an initial downward trajectory after separation before turning toward the target. That would explain the first one going into the dirt/house with no explosion.

I've been dragged through embedded thunderstorms and struck by lightning twice in my career. The first time was in an F-16 and it did cause a momentary loss of avionics (and temporary spatial D). The second time, it incapacitated my flight lead.
