Every dog has its day, and today was this fluff ball’s day. While @poudrefire put out a small cooking fire in a CSU apartment, a CSUPD officer attended to the dog, who was in the apartment alone. No people or dogs were injured & only smoke damage was reported.

CSUPD responded to an emergency landing of a small, single-engine airplane on the Foothills Campus at 2 p.m. Saturday after the plane experienced a critical mechanical failure. The skilled pilot made a relatively successful landing and no injuries were reported.

2/3s calls of firetrucks to CSU res hall/aprmt last yr were due to burnt food. Nat'lly, 1/3 of house fires start from unattended cooking. Don’t leave lunch while it’s in microwave or on stove. Save ur lunch from an inedible end & save your home/apartment. @poudrefire #FireSafety.

CSUPD recently raised $1,632 for a worthy cause at a plane pull to benefit @SpecOlympicsCO. We pulled a 65,000 pound Gulfstream jet 15 feet down the tarmac at this fund raiser in 8.58 seconds, handily beating @CUBoulderPolice police team. #GoRams
