@rotary_o This is because NO_PREEDIT_APPS is hardcoded with gvim to avoid trigger a bug in gvim. If you do want embedded preedit, set environment variable FCITX_NO_PREEDIT_APPS

@kitanishi_m22 There are 3 option relevant in Fcitx5: 1. accent color (enabled by default, need support by theme) 2. dark/light (disabled by default, because it's implemented as separately configure two theme) 3. Or set theme to KDE Plasma (This follows Plasma theme follows color)

@tist_a there is a relevant change that I plan to make in next version of fcitx5 (It was reverted once due to other bugs in wlroots based compositor.) You can try fcitx5 git master and see if it helps.

@_ksoda fcitx5's command is different. It's fcitx5-remote, instead of fcitx-remote. fcitx.vim is another option for the same feature .
